Stinging heart

Knowing that he was angry, I whispered goodbye to Maisie, then walked up to her honestly, bowed my head, and said, ”Thank you!”

She gave me a cold glance, a pair of black and deep eyes, cannot see the mood, lukewarm spit out two words, ”get in the car!”

I dare not say more, so I got in the car obediently.

After driving more than half of the car, I received a message that Maisie had arrived home. I went back to have an early rest, but then I decided to look at the scenery outside the window. We were about to arrive at the villa.

I looked sideways at the man around me, as cold as ever. If he didn’t take the initiative to speak, I naturally couldn’t talk more.

All the way to the downstairs of the villa, he parked his car, then stepped straight in front of the villa’s door. I followed him and thought, ”Jordan, I thought you were drunk, so I called Dr. Silverman. I have no other idea.”

Although this explanation was a little superfluous, I opened my mouth, and I knew that even if he did, he didn’t care.

He suddenly stopped, looked back at me, narrowed his black eyes slightly, and said in a low voice, ”something else?” Do you think Brad has a crush on you? ”

He blocked me directly with a word. I was dumb for a moment and couldn’t say anything.

Yes, not to mention that Brad is Jordan’s brother, I am still his nominal wife, even if not, Brad will not necessarily take a fancy on me.

As far as Jordan is careful, I am the lowly dust in the dirt. If Mr. Astley didn’t love me, I would not even be qualified to see Jordan, let alone marry him.

Seeing that I was silent, Jordan gave me a cold look and was ready to go upstairs.

After a few steps, he suddenly stopped, as if thinking of something, looked back at me, and said, ”go to the convenient store to buy a midnight snack.”

I was surprised. Why didn’t he say anything on the road? Here and the convenience store is simply poles apart, and it is already early in the morning, I need to go to half the city to buy him his midnight snacks?

”Do I have to go today? It’s already early in the morning, and maybe it’s still closed.”

”It’s open 24 hours a day!” Leaving a few words behind, he directly refused to give me a chance to say more and went straight upstairs.

He doesn’t want to eat midnight snacks at all, but he just wants to mess with me.

However, after all, it was my fault. After a pause, I still left the villa and was ready to drive.

It was the rainy season and it was hot and humid in the air. It was supposed to rain. I had planned to drive a cautious jeep, but the car keys were taken directly to the study by Jordan, but I had to go to the garage and drive a car with a lower chassis.

At one o’clock in the morning, I went halfway around the city to buy midnight snacks. I was lucky that it didn’t rain.

But as soon as I drive my way home from the convenience store, the sky began to rumble with heavy rain, thunder, and lightning, almost pouring rain.

Driving all the way back, many tunnels and roads in Hempstead will be flooded during the rainy season, so I deliberately bypassed the tunnel, although the distance is a little farther, at least it will not be flooded.

But I did not calculate that the car would break down halfway, because I drove slowly I was half away from the villa, and it was remote and raining heavily, so I wouldn’t be able to get a taxi for a while.

Looked at the mobile phone, the power is not much, there is no way, I had to call Jordan.

The phone rang several times but no one answered. Seeing that the phone was about to be turned off, I had to find an umbrella in the car and get out of the car with midnight snacks and walk back down the road.
