The three of them were still at the table, drinking and discussing club matters.

The Racing Club was fully renovated, but it would still take time before its official opening.

Among the necessities were various procedures, tentatively set to open before the end of the year, but preliminary preparations were time-consuming and energy-draining.

The most crucial part was that running a club required bringing in some renowned racers; otherwise, it wouldn’t be attractive.

”I don’t know much about racing, so I’ll have to trouble you, Fourth Brother.” Jiang Jinsang said bluntly.

”As for early promotions, I’m even less knowledgeable. I don’t know anyone in the media or news circles; it’ll definitely take more effort from Zeyan.”

Jiang Chengsi and Qi Zeyan exchanged glances:

What does this mean? Didn’t we come here today to discuss this? Why are you shifting everything to us?

What do we need you for? Do we just need your investment money?

After saying this, Jiang Jinsang seemed to have made a tremendously difficult decision, letting out a long breath in relief:

”I really didn’t expect doing business to be so challenging, it’s exhausting.”

The other two took a deep breath:

That comment is so damn infuriating.

What exactly is exhausting you so much?

Qi Zeyan’s recently strained ligament was almost healed, but the old man still didn’t want him back at the company and wanted him to rest more. He couldn’t manage company affairs, so he focused more on the club.

Hearing Jiang Jinsang’s shameless statement, he was about to speak when he heard Tang Wan’s phone vibrate, indicating an incoming call.

Answering a call loudly while others were chatting was impolite, so he swallowed back what he was about to say.

But once Tang Wan spoke, his earlier burning anger felt like being doused with a bucket of cold water, calming instantly.

”Hello, Xixi—”

Tang Wan held the phone and, not wanting to disturb their dinner conversation, was headed back to her room to continue the call.

”I just finished dinner, Fifth Brother is talking to Fourth Brother... it’s okay, no interruption, I’ll take the call in my room.”

Only talking to Jiang Chengsi?

Tang Wan completely avoided mentioning that Qi Zeyan was also at her place.

Qi Zeyan clenched his wine glass, feeling uneasy. He worried that Ruan Mengxi might have been acting too strangely that day. But because of his identity, he couldn’t ask too much.

Judging by Tang Wan’s tone on the phone, it seemed she was having a good time at home.

Logically, she should have been doing well lately, and he should have been relieved, but...

Something still didn’t settle right in his heart.

”...Zeyan!” Jiang Chengsi’s voice snapped him back to reality.

”Huh?”

”What do you mean, ’huh’? I’ve been calling your name for ages, what are you daydreaming about?” Jiang Chengsi was speechless, ”I noticed you’ve been acting strange lately. Playing games with you, you zone out; now we’re talking business, money matters, and you’re still out of it.”

”You don’t seem interested in anything.”

”Are you heartbroken? Did some girl dump you?”

”Go to hell, stop talking nonsense.” Qi Zeyan frowned.

”By the way, is the younger sister on the phone with Xiaoruan’s assistant? Did she go back to Pingjiang? On leave?” Jiang Chengsi wasn’t friends with Ruan Mengxi on WeChat and wasn’t familiar, so naturally, he didn’t know she had returned to Pingjiang, ”I was wondering, usually when you go out, you’d bring her along, but lately, I haven’t seen her.”

”Why are you so concerned about her?” Qi Zeyan’s tone was very calm, revealing no clue to his emotions.

”Well, she’s Wanwan’s best friend, and she’s quite pretty and cute.”

”How is she cute?”

”She has a lovely smile, remember, at Xiaowu’s wedding, she was a bridesmaid. Someone even asked me about her later, but I forgot about it.”

Qi Zeyan took a sip of his wine, staying silent...

Jiang Jinsang merely observed silently, finding the situation increasingly interesting.
