Global Era of Star trekking

If the old man continues to guide further explorations a few more times, raising the success rate above 60% shouldn’t be difficult.”

Song Chao’s response pleased Song Hai greatly. The advancement task had been initiated for less than two months and the success rate had already neared 50%. It was a very good start. As long as there was no extreme misfortune, reaching a 60% success rate should not be difficult.

Walking into the base, Song Chi found that it was not large, but that was understandable since it was only temporary. Apart from a few single-person rest rooms, there was the remote monitoring room at the furthest end.

Standing behind Song Hai and Song Chao, Song Chi and the others curiously stretched their necks. They were extremely curious about this room that Song Qi and Song Wen had talked about, a room capable of remote monitoring across the vast distance of a light-year.

As the door opened, the three of them followed Song Hai and Song Chao into the monitoring room.

Upon entering, their gaze was immediately drawn to the large projection screen that occupied almost the entire room.

This projection screen, over ten meters in length and more than five meters wide, looked like an oversized black and white screen stretched across the room. However, this was not the focal point.

Specifically, what captured the attention of Song Chi and the others was the constantly changing imagery within the screen.

In the pitch-black starry sky, terrifying spatial cracks of varying sizes were scattered about. Not far away, a large Floating Land Fragment over ten thousand meters in diameter quietly hovered. An elliptical Energy Shield, even larger in diameter than the fragment, enveloped the entire large Floating Land Fragment.

Through the transparent Energy Shield, one could see various sized Torch Warships floating within, and below, alloy skyscrapers over a kilometer tall stood imposingly on the fragment. Red-hued Energy surged from the top of these skyscrapers, funneling into the Energy Shield above, maintaining its existence.

”The mechanical base on the Floating Land Fragment is the station of the Blood Blade Star Thieves. It is located over 1.5 light-years away from our current position. Since our arrival here decades ago, this interstellar base has already stood here,”

Deep voice of Uncle Song Hai reached their ears, and the Song Chi trio snapped out of their stupor. Song Chi didn’t know what Song Lin and Song You were thinking at the moment, but a question had arisen in his heart.

”How exactly is this projection screen generated? To be able to carry out real-time remote monitoring of a Star Domain 1.5 light-years away was beyond incredible.”

Song Chao began to explain slowly, seemingly noticing the curiosity in his son’s eyes.

”This projection screen was created by an Orange Component that your grandfather brought with him from the clan!”

Still not completely free from confusion, Song Chi listened.

Ship components needed to be installed on a Torch Warship to take effect. Could it be that this Orange Component was currently installed on Uncle’s Flagship? But if that was indeed the case, what would happen when Uncle leaves later? Would it just be uninstalled and then installed on Qingkong, or would Uncle’s Flagship remain here permanently?

Before he could ask, Song Chao spoke again.

”This component only needs to be enhanced to level 19 for it to reach an effective distance of 1.5 light-years, and disassembling it doesn’t waste many resources.”

Hearing this, Song Chi nodded in understanding. If enhancement only required up to level 19, then there was no need for the consumption of Titanium Crystal, a strategic resource. Naturally, this was acceptable to everyone.

Having understood this point, Song Chi abruptly shifted his focus and thought,

”Orange Quality special components, indeed, our elders are hiding quite a few treasures.”

At that moment, Song You, standing beside, suddenly asked a question that all of them were very curious about.

”Uncle, Uncle, the family has even used an Orange Component, so what exactly have we been planning for these decades?”
