Global Era of Star trekking

Although the illusion realm that was created was indeed convincing enough to be mistaken for reality and also had a decent effect in shielding energy fluctuations, it was not only expensive, but the area that the illusion realm could cover was extremely limited; therefore, it had never been very popular in the market.

Of course, compared with technologies like the spatial veil, it was still much more cost-effective.

Soon, Qingkong touched down in the docking area for single-person warships next to the base.

Whoosh!

Once Song Chao had stowed Qingkong into the Ancestral Torch, Song Chi and the other two were finally free from the warship. Although the persistent restriction from the warship’s credential component was gone, they still couldn’t use their spectral energy, needing a full 24 hours before it would be completely lifted.

It wasn’t long before Second Uncle Song Hai came out with Song Qi and Song Wen. They had been there for over a month, and the arrival of Song Chao and his group meant they would soon be leaving.

”Little brother, Little Lin, Little Chi, hmm... Little You got promoted too? Not bad!!”

With Second Uncle Song Hai initiating the greeting, the seven of them began to chat back and forth.

Especially among the five younger ones, the topics of conversation seemed endless.

Song Qi walked up to his youngest brother, laughing as he clapped Song You on the shoulder.

”You kid, not bad. When did you get promoted? Five times or six times?”

Upon hearing this, Song You tilted his chin up, making a proud gesture with his hand.

”Five times, it’s quite an achievement. You truly are the prodigy of our family!”

Song Qi was particularly pleased. He and Song Lin had both explored the star domain ten times before they managed to promote their flagship a rank. He naturally felt genuine joy seeing his younger brother progress so quickly.

Up ahead, Song Hai and Song Chao were also conversing softly.

”So, any other movements from the Blood Blade Star Thieves?”

Upon Song Chao’s inquiry, Song Hai first shook his head, then his tone shifted.

”However, a few days ago, ’Blood Wolf’ took a group of men and left their den; they’re likely out raiding. They haven’t returned yet.”

Song Chao’s eyes narrowed slightly as he rapidly recalled all sorts of information about this person.

Blood Wolf, the deputy leader of the Blood Blade Star Thieves, a Second Rank Peak Torch Ship Captain, under whose command the flagship ’Demon Wolf’ ranked among the most powerful of escort ships. He was rightly the undisputed second-in-command of the Blood Blade Star Thieves.

After a moment’s thought, Song Chao offered a guess.

”Could it be that he left to get promoted?”

Song Hai did not respond immediately; indeed, he had harbored such speculation, but he could not be certain.

”It’s not very likely. According to the information we have obtained, Blood Wolf is not even two hundred years old yet. Though he holds considerable power within the Blood Blade Star Thieves and has a hefty annual income, promoting to Third Rank is no trivial matter; he still lacks sufficient preparation time. Besides, he is the absolute confidant of Blood Knife.

If he really wanted to promote to Third Rank, their thieves’ den would be the safest place to do so. Why risk an external promotion? I personally believe he went out plundering!!”

Song Hai’s speculation was well-founded, and Song Chao was actually quite in agreement. However, considering the matter concerned their lineage’s decades-long planning, they could ill afford such casual subjective conjectures.

’Likely not very probable...’ These kinds of statements could be acceptable in ordinary tasks, but not in this case.

The two men exchanged glances, and then Song Hai took the initiative to say:

***

”Understood, when we return to the White Tower Floating Land this time, I will explain the situation to the old man and the exact whereabouts of the Blood Wolf will be thoroughly investigated, with no margin for error allowed!”

With these words, Song Chao finally felt at ease, but Song Hai immediately continued to ask,

”By the way, how’s the situation with the boss? What are the chances of advancement?”

”It’s going well. After the initiation of the advancement task, the old man personally led two rounds of Alien Star Domain exploration. With the assistance of the old man, last time the boss directly killed a Third Rank Peak Alien Race, greatly increasing the success rate. The current success rate has already approached 50%.
