I Get A Random New Occupation Every Week

Chapter 3296: Chapter 3288: You Understand German, Too?

”Concepts?”

This line of reasoning, Chen Lin didn’t expect.

”Right, making money, there’s nothing shameful about it.”

”What if we look from our own perspective?”

”It depends on what you want,” Lin Yi said:

”Do you want sales and money, or reputation and fame?”

Chen Lin was a bit confused by the twist, ”If we don’t consider the future of this project, it should be all benefits and no harm to us, right?”

”Those are just surface-level things.”

Lin Yi said:

”If you want money and sales, there’s nothing more to say. By following this model, the cars put into the market will definitely have a ridiculously high maintenance rate. Our after-sales service can earn a lot, so it’s beneficial, but it might not help build a good reputation.”

”With our quality, I don’t think there’ll be any issues.”

”The quality is decent, but the problem is, people nowadays don’t even talk about that.”

Lin Yi looked at Chen Lin, and said:

”First of all, have you thought about what kind of people would use shared cars?”

”Petty bourgeoisie.”

”You’re half right.”

”Half?”

”They should be pseudo-bourgeoisie,” Lin Yi said:

”True bourgeoisie is built on money, and ironically, they don’t flaunt being part of that group.”

Chen Lin listened intently, feeling there was some truth to it.

”The rest are neither high nor low; they’re the hardest to deal with.”

Lin Yi said:

”Imagine if they had a scratch while driving, the company would definitely ask them to compensate, right?”

”That’s a given.”

”The compensation price would surely be at market rate, but with cars of this level, even a minor scratch isn’t cheap to fix, especially the headlights—each one costs thousands, even with insurance, it’s a substantial amount.”

”Then both sides would get into a tug-of-war. In this age of viral media, this kind of incident would quickly hit the trending lists.”

”I don’t think that’s a problem; netizens have sharp eyes. If a car is damaged, paying for it makes sense.”

”That’s the problem right there. Most netizens are rational only when it’s someone else’s issue. When it happens to them, it’s different.” Lin Yi said:

”In such cases, they will intentionally avoid this business, opting to replace it with other means whenever possible.”

”Secondly, they’ll label the company as greedy, even though it has nothing to do with us directly. But for those who don’t understand cars, they’ll subconsciously rate us poorly. When they themselves or friends ask, they won’t recommend us first. These are invisible risks.”

After hearing Lin Yi’s analysis, Chen Lin felt an epiphany.

But more so, she was surprised.

She never expected Lin Yi to analyze things so thoroughly.

However, Lin Yi didn’t achieve this by himself.

It was the Lingyun Group that had previously planned to invest in this project.

Tian Yan was responsible for this aspect and had already done a detailed analysis.

These were results from reports.

”I can’t be sure if what you’re saying is correct, but being able to analyze so much is indeed impressive.”

In reality, Chen Lin’s inability to see through these things is understandable.

After all, she’s just a vice president of a 4S shop.

Frankly speaking, she’s just a higher level salesperson.

Her business acumen is indeed lacking.

”So, it still depends on what you want,” Lin Yi said:

”However, the downsides I’ve mentioned won’t emerge until much later. Even if problems do arise, the entire brand will take the fall, not you. Perhaps once sales increase, you’ll get promoted and receive a raise, and those troublesome issues won’t concern you at all.”

”So this deal is still negotiable.”

”Right, making money is the priority; the rest is secondary.”

”I think so too.”

Lin Yi stretched lazily, getting ready to head out.

”Where are you going?”

”Out for some fresh air, and to see how this company is doing.”

Lin Yi had a few friends in the circle who had invested in this company, so he wanted to go out and take a look.

”Let’s go together; there’s nothing else to do anyway.”

The two of them walked out of the meeting room together and started strolling in the hallway.

”They even have a description in German,” Lin Yi said with a mixture of amusement and bewilderment.

”According to them, it’s because they’re collaborating with an overseas factory, and all their techniques have reached cutting-edge standards,” Chen Lin said:

”Like you said, without a bit of hype, they can’t reap the benefits.”

”But what they wrote is completely unrelated.”
