Chapter 1041: Chapter 1043: Honey, You Do ItYang Ming was standing by the door listening to the commotion inside, afraid that something might go wrong.

He knew his wife was really scared of such situations, and now she had to help deliver a baby for the big sister; it was truly difficult for her.

When he heard the baby’s cry, he was sure it was the cry of the newborn, not his son’s voice.

He was happy and relieved at the same time; his wife could finally come out from the situation she feared.

But as soon as his wife came out, her words left him momentarily stunned.

”Honey, what do we do? How exactly do we cut this?”

Xiaoxiao really didn’t know; it was already a challenge for her to help deliver the baby, wasn’t it?

Yang Ming had even less of an idea; he’d never seen anything like this before, his own child’s birth had everything handled, there wasn’t anything left attached like this.

Xiaoxiao realized from Yang Ming’s look that he also didn’t know. Come to think of it, as a man, he wouldn’t have any contact with these things, probably not even as much as she did.

So what should they do? Should they wait for the midwife to come? But can they really leave the placenta attached like this without cutting it? No one had ever told her!

Xiaoxiao thought over and over, and then made a decision, the umbilical cord had to be cut.

So she handed the scissors to Yang Ming and said, ”Honey, did you see any alcohol in the kitchen? First, scald the scissors with hot water, then wipe them with alcohol.”

”Oh, okay, I’ll go right away.” Yang Ming took the scissors, but his heart skipped a beat, seeing his wife’s hands covered in blood.

He quickly went into the kitchen, dealing with the scissors as his wife had instructed and came out soon after.

”Wife, the scissors are done.”

Xiaoxiao took a glance and said, ”Honey, it seems like you have to tie a knot close to the baby’s belly button, and then cut it.”

Yang Ming nodded blankly, amazed at how much his wife knew.

”Honey, you do it.”

”...” His wife managed the huge scene of delivery, so he couldn’t back down either, and responded, ”Alright! I’ll do it.”

Just like that, the two clumsy people handled the newborn’s umbilical cord, finally separating the placenta from the baby.

Both of them were very happy at the sight, but they hadn’t been happy for long when Xiaoxiao saw the bloody placenta.

She suddenly felt overwhelmingly nauseous and made a retching motion, ”Ugh!”

”Wife, are you okay?” Yang Ming had one arm around the baby and the other patting his wife’s back, feeling very worried.

”I’m fine.” Xiaoxiao turned her back to Yang Ming, waving her hand.

During the delivery, she was so scared that her nerves were in a highly tense state and didn’t pay much attention. Now that her mood relaxed, she really couldn’t handle such a scene.

”Honey, quickly wash the baby so we can take him to the big sister.”

”Alright, you get some rest.” Although Yang Ming was worried, he couldn’t leave the task undone, so he went on.

Xiaoxiao squatted there, gasping for large breaths to stabilize her emotions, and gradually the nausea subsided.

Feeling a bit better, Xiaoxiao stood up and quickly washed herself, as Yang Ming was bathing the baby, needing to get a clean sheet to wrap him in.

Moments later, Xiaoxiao brought the washed, blood-free baby into the room. The big sister’s belly wasn’t big, but the baby wasn’t small, either.

Xiaoxiao placed the baby next to Yueniang and said, ”Big Sister, I cleaned up your son and brought him over.”

But Yueniang lay with her eyes closed, as if she had fallen asleep, without responding. Xiaoxiao thought, perhaps she was too exhausted from the childbirth.
