Claiming His Tempting Mate

Shyla has waited two years for this day. Her mate asked her to keep their bond secret until the Throne ceremony, when he would take the Alpha title and finally reveal her to the whole pack, so she has watched him from a distance ever since, gathering flowers for a celebration she believes will at last make her his Luna. Instead she finds him with her own sister, and the future she had imagined collapses in a single moment. He calls her weak because she cannot shift into her wolf form and offers her the role of substitute. Shyla refuses, and runs until the pack and everything in it are far behind her. Alone in the woods, hollowed out by pain and emptiness, she stumbles into something that changes the shape of her life entirely. Two years later she returns transformed in bearing, in strength and in the way the world looks at her, and the mate who discarded her no longer recognises the woman he threw away.
