Stinging heart

Without being polite to him, I pressed the button in my hand slightly, and then the Russian turntable began to turn. I don’t know how many laps the pointer went between ten numbers, and finally, as I expected, it was only on the number 7.

I smiled and looked at him and said, ”Mr. Gates, I made you laugh.”

He shrugged his shoulders and said calmly, ”Does it looks like I’m going to lose? Some of them are the same!”

As he said that, he threw the card in his hand onto the pointer of the Russian turntable, which was played on the pointer, and then the pointer rotated rapidly. Before long, the pointer slowed down and stopped on the number 8.

For a moment, the people at the table could not help but sigh and seemed to regret the result, but Timothy Gates was not worried, just a pair of dark eyes looked at him at random, as if he didn’t care about the final result at all. Two seconds later, the pointer fell back to the number 7 in the swing, and everything seemed incredible.

When he looked at me, he pretended to be sorry and said, ”It fell on 7. It’s a pity. Mrs. Astley, you almost won!”

I pursed my lips, looked lightly at the turntable, and suddenly realized that this game, no matter how decided, we will eventually draw. After all, he is the owner of this casino, and he is more relaxed than I am if he wants to play.

It seems that he doesn’t want to talk to me at all!

I put down the card in my hand, sat back to my seat, looked at him faintly, raised my eyebrow, ”Mr. Gates, aren’t you going to talk with me?”

He threw himself over, sat on the poker table, and looked at me carelessly. ”What are we talking about? Talk about love?”

He squinted at me and said, ”Don’t say, although you are old, you still look very interesting. I heard that Jordan Astley has suffered a lot and traveled to many places for you. True love is like you. Do you run away from him?”

I pursed my lips and ignored the disdain and mockery in his words.

He opened his mouth and said, ”It seems that you don’t want to talk to me very much.”

He picked his eyebrows, did not deny it, and acquiesced.

Such being the case, I naturally won’t ask for boredom, so I just don’t open my mouth and sit down quietly and wait for Jordan Astley.

Just a few seconds later, I suddenly realized that something was wrong. I stood up abruptly and rushed out of the box. Timothy Gates followed me and told me to stop, but my action was suddenly and fast, so he naturally failed to catch up.

In the hall, everything seemed to be normal as when we came in, even people were normal, but my sudden appearance caught the eyes of several people who were originally leisurely playing mahjong.
