Stinging heart

Ivelle saw it but did not open her mouth. She looked faintly at Aaron and said. ”Boss Badger, thank you for your favor, but I’ll still say the same sentence. You don’t have to waste your life for me. I have my own family and career. I’m fine, and you know very well what your presence means to me. So, I don’t want you to appear in my life, even if you become a silent guard. I don’t want to be missed by men other than Jordan.”

Aaron bowed his head and said with a wry smile. ”You are not stingy at all because he refuses all ambiguity. Why do you want to leave the Capital and come here when you are so determined to think about him? Ivelle, I’m curious. What on earth are you thinking?”

Ivelle didn’t think that he has the right to know.

After thinking about it and weigh her options, Ivelle answered him. ”I left the Capital simply because I was done with him, not because I didn’t love him or because I fell in love with someone else, but because I knew it would take me some time to convince myself that I was worthy of his excellence. I wasn’t worthy of his indulgence and love before, I came here to let myself grow and become more worthy of growing old with him. In fact, to put it bluntly, I left not because I didn’t love him, but because I loved him too much. I love Jordan too much, so I felt inferior. I thought a good man like him deserves better!”

He smiled bitterly, slouched his lips slightly, and lowered his eyes across Ivelle with a pained look. ”Anyway, I said I would wait. I hope that in my next life, the person who met you ahead of time is me, and no longer Jordan. What he can give you, I can also double it for you.”

She can’t help sighing. Ivelle thought that it’s worth it explaining to him. He was still stubborn and won’t compromise easily.

She simply didn’t argue with him about this matter. Ivelle intently looked at him and said. ”Aaron, the most terrible thing in the world is that you are already holding emerald in your hand, but you are thinking about pearls. In fact, most of the time, what you hold in your hand is the most cherished thing rather than the one you’re chasing. I hope you can understand what this means. Don’t miss the real beauty and happiness.”

After a pause, she continued to say. ”Since you’ve been looking for me, you already know that I’m on good terms with Jordan. You said you wanted to see me. Now that you’ve seen me in my best condition, you can now leave. I’m fine. If there’s nothing wrong, go back to the Capital.”

In order to make him give up, Ivelle said. ”Jordan and I will make up, and we will be better than before. If I didn’t let you wait for me before, it will be even more impossible in the future. Don’t waste your time on me.”

Before he could continue to say anything, Ivelle raised her left hand to reveal the ring on her ring finger.

Jordan gave her that last night. It wasn’t an exaggerated diamond ring, just a pair of simple ring she can wear every day. The diamond is not very big, but very dazzling.
