A call of ”Dad” made Si Qingxiao extremely embarrassed. Si Yushan only felt a dizzy sensation in his head, as if still waters had rippled or a flash of lightning crossed a clear sky, making him stiffen at the address.

The members of the Si Family standing on the side initially expected to be reprimanded by Mr. Jiang, feeling as if they were sitting on pins and needles, restless and uneasy. Jiang Chengsi’s way of addressing stunned them, their pupils slightly widening in surprise.

It wasn’t until You Yunzhi let out a chuckle that the awkward silence was finally broken.

Rarely seeing her husband in such an awkward state, she found it amusingly novel.

”Auntie,” Jiang Chengsi called out. If he were very drunk, he might not even recognize where the wall is. The previous address was merely a slip of the tongue. At this moment, coming to his senses, he recognized everyone, yet he didn’t realize what he had just done.

He thought it was the embarrassment caused by being caught while climbing a wall.

”Can you still walk? Xiaoxiao, help him out a bit, let him stay at our place tonight.”

”That’s too much trouble,” Jiang Chengsi swept a glance at Si Yushan. Was he upset because I climbed the wall?

He definitely had a reason to be upset.

”Why be so formal with me?” You Yunzhi smiled, signaling Si Qingxiao to help him to the guest room. She went ahead and found a set of sleepwear from Si Yushan for him so he could change after a shower.

After all, being at home with both parents present, Si Qingxiao had no time to be alone with Jiang Chengsi and was quickly sent back to her room by her father.

...

Jiang Chengsi took a quick shower, the warm water cascading down his head made him much clearer. When he came out of the bathroom, he found Si Yushan sitting in the room, holding a cup of tea that had already cooled.

”Uncle,” Jiang Chengsi’s steps were still somewhat unsteady.

”Sit down.” Having returned from Nanjiang, Si Yushan had not yet spoken with him. With Jiang Shiyi’s incident and the bar having subsequent matters needing handling, he didn’t have time.

”Alright.” In the guest room there was only one chair, Jiang Chengsi could only sit by the edge of the bed, sitting slowly.

He sat with half his bottom, daring not to press it down fully.

After all, being caught climbing a wall unsuccessfully was embarrassing.

”How’s your brother doing? I heard from Xiaoxiao you went to the hospital to visit and the young girl is pregnant, right?” Si Yushan took a sip of tea, still genuinely confused about what happened earlier.

His wife had teased him, saying having another son isn’t bad?

They say a son-in-law equals half a son, but to suddenly be called ’Dad,’ truthfully ...

He felt a bit panicked!

”Yes.” Jiang Chengsi obediently nodded.

”Are there many things going on at home?”

”Not really.”

”Previously, when I went to Nanjiang, Mr. Yan said you performed well. You’re actually a good material for doing business, your bar and establishment are managed quite well, I think ...” Si Yushan said half his sentence.

”Hiccup—” was unexpectedly followed by a hiccup.

Jiang Chengsi coughed slightly, ”Sorry, Uncle, please continue.”

Si Yushan saw that he was relatively sober, prepared to use this opportunity to have a good talk about the subsequent planning with him. He understood in his heart, Jiang Chengsi’s aspiration wasn’t in business. He couldn’t impose business endeavors on him just because he liked his daughter.

Having someone in the family who understands the industry ensures that employing a professional manager doesn’t completely marginalize the company, changing its course.

He had never forced Si Qingxiao to take over the company, so naturally he wouldn’t force Jiang Chengsi either.

He intended to have a good conversation tonight, yet—

The certain individual was constantly battling with the hiccups.

Jiang Chengsi was also quite frustrated; the hiccuping happened, once it started, it couldn’t be controlled, trying his best not to interrupt Si Yushan, still each time they spoke, it would be followed with a ”hiccup—”.

Hiccups aren’t an illness, but relentless they sure are annoying.

Si Yushan eventually stood up, ”Never mind, get some rest, we’ll talk tomorrow.”

”Uncle, hiccup— let me see you out.”

”Go get some sleep.” Si Yushan gestured casually with his hand.
