Pampered by Short-Lived Bigshot

The professor knows Jiang Shiyi is very smart, but he lacks a bit of humanity. Lin Luyou is a girl, after all, so maybe being together can change him a bit.

The result was:

Not only did they develop a brother-sister bond, they also developed other feelings.

...

At this moment, Jiang Shiyi recalled someone just entering the lab, looking awkward and cautious, and couldn’t help but laugh.

Lin Luyou didn’t understand anything. No matter what she did, she had to ask this picky and fussy senior a question, cautiously, with a sweet voice: ”Senior——”

Perhaps because of the shadow left from the second interview, and hearing from others that Jiang Shiyi didn’t want to mentor her, Lin Luyou was very cautious for a long time, afraid of annoying this fussy guy.

Maybe it was because Tang Wan asked about school days today, Lin Luyou, in a drowsy state, thought about the times when she was ordered around during school days.

Studying abroad was already stressful, and during that time, she was trying hard to prove herself to Jiang Shiyi, working on data and writing reports day and night.

Being alone abroad, unlike being in the country where there was always someone to care for her, she developed stomach problems back then.

The car had slowly stopped at the villa entrance, Jiang Shiyi saw she showed no signs of waking up, yet seemed to sleep increasingly restlessly.

”Youyou.” He called her softly, but there was no sign of waking up.

Jiang Shiyi turned off the car, and the faint noise of the engine disappeared too. The surroundings were so quiet it seemed like he could hear her soft breathing. Rubbing his hands on the steering wheel, he tilted his head to look at her.

Her small face was pale and delicate, wearing relatively loose clothing, making her body look even more slender and frail, exposing a section of her snow-white neck.

In the deep spring and early summer, the sunlight was bright but not too intense, casting a gentle glow through the dark car window onto her, as if forming a layer of soft halo. He gazed at her deeply, slowly, somewhat recklessly, leaned over...

As he got closer, he could hear not only her breathing but also the rise and fall of her chest.

His lips gently landed on the small area of skin at her neck.

Lightly, just a slight touch.

Her skin was warm, as if he could feel the flow of blood under her skin.

Jiang Shiyi thought he might be a pervert; the mark he left on her neck had disappeared, yet now he...

Wanted to leave something on her again.

He took a deep breath.

Even facing a patient, to have a reaction like this, he figured he was probably beyond saving.

Without disturbing Lin Luyou, he got out of the car, leaned against the side, and took a deep breath.

The sunlight wasn’t very intense, falling onto him, even bringing a sense of warmth, yet Jiang Shiyi felt an early sense of hunger filling his bones, unbearably uncomfortable.

...

When Lin Luyou woke up, it was already twilight, as other cars passed by, she opened her eyes. She rarely had the chance to sleep so soundly.

Opening her eyes, she saw Jiang Shiyi leaning against the car hood, looking down at his phone. Perhaps sensing she woke up, he turned and opened the car door for her.

”Let’s go inside.”

”Did I sleep for a long time?”

”Not really.” Jiang Shiyi added after he spoke, ”Just over three hours.”

”...”

”You should’ve woken me up.”

”I did, but you ignored me.”

Lin Luyou was a bit disoriented from sleeping. The things they bought from the supermarket, Jiang Shiyi had already taken inside and organized. There was even soup being stewed in the kitchen. Perhaps due to having enough rest, after entering the house, the aroma of the soup made her truly hungry.

”Go freshen up, I’ll serve you some soup.”

With someone waiting on her, Lin Luyou didn’t refuse either.

The main reason was, during school, she was the one helping him get food and serving soup. It was always the wheel of fortune turning; it was her turn to enjoy now.

Jiang Chengsi didn’t even know someone had moved into the house. At this moment, he was surfing by the sea and even posted a video in his friend circle. He was habitually flamboyant, forgetting he was on a business trip, and sometimes certain things should be kept from the elders.

Si Yushan saw the flashy stance he had while surfing at sea.

In the ten-second video, someone was riding the waves enthusiastically, not at all like a business trip, more like a vacation.
