Pampered by Short-Lived Bigshot

When Qi Zeyan emerged from the bathroom, it was already close to midnight, and the entire city seemed to have quieted down, with even the sound of traffic outside gradually dwindling.

Ruan Mengxi noticed him coming out in the hotel’s white bathrobe, still damp with water droplets hanging from his hair.

Usually styled back or with a neat side part, his hair, when let down, is relatively long, nearly covering his brows. The robe’s belt hung loosely around his waist as he bent slightly, creating an arc...

It almost allowed a clear view of his upper body.

”I’ll turn off the lights here,” Qi Zeyan indicated the lights by the bathroom and entrance.

”Okay,” Ruan Mengxi nodded her head and snuggled further into the blanket.

”Are you cold?” Qi Zeyan noticed her curling up in the blanket.

”Not really.”

Before getting into bed, Qi Zeyan raised the air conditioning temperature a little.

As the two lay in bed, the room was dimly lit, only the television softly playing a nature exploration program, while Qi Zeyan’s hand, hidden under the blanket, subtly reached over.

He worried rushing would scare her, yet he couldn’t suppress the restless urgency in his heart.

Ruan Mengxi was rich in theoretical knowledge, but practically speaking, on the road, she was quite nervous. Perhaps it was because he just showered, his hand felt hot, and she instinctively flinched away upon contact...

Qi Zeyan was a bit displeased!

Why are you dodging?

Feeling a bit impatient, he flipped over and pressed down.

”The lights, the TV—umm.” Ruan Mengxi felt embarrassed by the light in the room, but he propped himself over her and kissed her without hesitation.

Her breath was seized; she passively tilted her head back as he pressed down completely.

Turbulent, heated, urgent—

Wrapped her tightly, very aggressively.

Although people often mock the domineering CEO trope, the persistent popularity of such dramas and novels is for a reason, and Ruan Mengxi at this moment felt...

He really was assertive!

What to do...

Really like it!

On TV, who knows what was playing:

”...the majority of male animals tirelessly display their charm in front of adult females. Once they set their sights on one, they exhibit strong possessiveness, and a mere glance from another male could provoke a duel.”

Ruan Mengxi managed to catch a few breaths, her face red and heart pounding uncontrollably. Her clothes were half-removed.

Everything seemed to unfold naturally, smoothly.

Even Qi Zeyan thought that tonight would surely end in a flourish, his phone was off, he even bought condoms, there was no one to stop him...

At this moment—

”Ding dong—” the doorbell rang!

His body stiffened:

Dammit—

It’s midnight, who the hell is it.

”Maybe they got the wrong room, let’s continue.” Qi Zeyan lowered his head, ready to resume the unfinished business.

But then the doorbell started ringing incessantly, and finally, there came a knock at the door.

No matter how good the atmosphere, it couldn’t withstand such interruptions.

”Go have a look.” Ruan Mengxi nudged him.

Qi Zeyan got up, dressed, and went to open the door barefoot, finding Ding Dabao and a group of younger relatives standing there, holding takeaway meal boxes, apparently having a great time, laughing and joking.

”Brother-in-law, so you were here. We called you, but your phone was off, so we knocked. We just came out from KTV, and the snails and crayfish from this night market were great, packed some for you, they even gave fruits.”

”Snails?” Qi Zeyan bit his lip tightly.

”Um...” Ding Dabao noticed his off look, seeing him barefoot, swallowed nervously, ”Brother-in-law, I didn’t disturb you, right?”

There were seven or eight people at the door, all younger siblings, following the rule of being lenient with groups, and he couldn’t lose face before them.

With anger nearly bursting from his throat, he forcibly suppressed it.

”No disturbance, I was just asleep, been really tired lately.”

”Makes sense your phone was off then, so here’s the food, we’ll be going, take good care of my sister.”

Sensing an awkward situation, they shoved the food into his hands and scampered off...

Didn’t get far before hearing a heavy door slam behind them that made them jump out of their skins.

”Brother Dabao, is brother-in-law mad? I told you, ringing the doorbell for so long, surely asleep or not there, yet you insisted.”
