Mr Fu, I Really Love You

Chapter 1051: The Most Lively Night Across the Past Few Years

She felt that given Lu Jinnan’s character, it was unlikely for him to lower his stance. Back then, that lady had abandoned him, so it was unlikely that he’d go up to pester her now that she was back.

However, thinking of how Lu Jinnan had shamelessly stuck around at her place… it was really hard to say this.

She clenched her teeth, put on her jacket, and walked to the door. She thought that if Lu Jinnan was still there, she’d let him in. However, she saw that there was no one outside when she looked out the peephole.

Bai Xiaonian’s heart sank. She clenched her hands, which were resting on the door, and closed her eyes. She thought to herself that this was good as well…

Everyone said that what one couldn’t get was always the best. It was probably because Lu Jinnan had never gotten Hong Jinyun that he still had a strong obstinacy toward her! After all… he had even killed someone for Hong Jinyun.

She didn’t like this feeling. The two of them just had sex last night, but Lu Jinnan’s soul was lured away when a beautiful lady appeared early this morning. No matter how Bai Xiaonian thought about it, she felt she wasn’t as beautiful as that lady.

Bai Xiaonian opened her fridge, took a tub of ice cream out of the freezer, and scooped a big mouthful of it and stuffed it into her mouth, pursing her lips. The bone-chilling cold eased her upset feelings momentarily.

Her phone, which she had tossed onto the carpet last night, rang. Bai Xiaonian walked over to pick it up. When she saw that it was her colleague, she picked it up…

”Hi, Mortensen…”

”Bai, I already settled your request for me to help you look for a place! Do you want to come over to take a look at it in the afternoon? You can’t continue to stay at your apartment anymore. It’s not too safe there!”

”You can just take a look for me! It’s fine if you think it’s suitable. I’ll transfer the deposit to you!” Bai Xiaonian said.

The reason Bai Xiaonian stayed there temporarily was that she had been left with no choice. It really wasn’t safe for a lady like her to be staying there.

”Alright, I’ll send you some photos later. You can take a look, and if you find it suitable, I’ll get it settled for you!” After saying that, Mortensen gave it some thought and added, ”The place I found for you is just below my apartment. I feel that we can look out for each other. Would your husband mind?”

It was only after the news conference that Mortensen found out that Bai Xiaonian’s husband was actually Lu Jinnan. Mortensen had wooed Bai Xiaonian previously and was afraid that Lu Jinnan would mind. Therefore, he asked this.

When Bai Xiaonian heard the word ”husband”, she frowned and diverted the topic. ”Isn’t that good? Haven’t you wanted to eat Chinese delicacies? If I move over, I can treat you to them in the future!”

Bai Xiaonian pretended to speak in a relaxed tone.

”Alright! Then I’ll go take some photos for you!” Mortensen’s tone was lighthearted. ”Oh, right, don’t forget about your interview at noon.”

After hanging up the call, Bai Xiaonian’s smile gradually disappeared. Her mind was filled with the scene she had seen earlier when she left the bedroom, where Lu Jinnan was being hugged.

She furrowed her brows tightly, scooped another big spoonful of ice cream into her mouth, swallowed it, and then took another.

Bai Xiaonian continued to eat the ice cream in big scoops. Her stomach felt a little uncomfortable after she ate half a tub of ice cream when she had just woken up with an empty stomach.

Bai Xiaonian had an interview at noon, and she knew that she’d definitely be asked about her marriage with Lu Jinnan.

What was the current status of their relationship now?

She had already signed the divorce papers previously. They would take effect as long as Lu Jinnan signed them. However, Lu Jinnan refused to sign them.

Now that Hong Jinyun was back, things would probably be different.

Bai Xiaonian stood in front of the dressing mirror, putting on her lipstick seriously. She adjusted her high-collared knitted sweater to cover up the kiss marks and smiled at her reflection. Feeling that her condition wasn’t bad, she put her lipstick into her bag.

She seemed to have made up her mind. Since Lu Jinnan was out, then there was no need to hide their relationship. It wasn’t shameful to say that they were in the midst of getting a divorce.

By now, Bai Xiaonian’s love story with Lu Jinnan in China was hot news.
