Mr Fu, I Really Love You

Chapter 337: How in the World Could Someone Be So Unabashed?

Fu Huai’an treaded carefully in a coaxing manner and sighed deliberately for dramatic effect. It was his way of giving in and showing a softer side of himself. Lin Nuan could tell he was putting in effort to make amends.

”If you had told Chu Xun you were married in the first place, she wouldn’t have undressed, would she?”

Lin Nuan was still boiling with rage, and her tone was harsh.

”I intended to say that, but I didn’t have the chance to bring it up! I was just about to tell her that when you came downstairs suddenly…”

Fu Huai’an was standing so close to her that, when he spoke, his breath and lips were almost brushing against Lin Nuan’s lips, forcing her to lean her body back.

”So I guess I’m the one at fault for appearing at the wrong time? If something like this were to happen again, I should hole myself up in the room and not come out, how’s that?”

Lin Nuan lowered her gaze and arched her back to avoid his lips.

”This won’t happen again!” Fu Huai’an lowered his voice and tried to pacify Lin Nuan. ”Don’t be angry. I didn’t have the chance to inform her just now, but there’s still time for me to call her right now to tell her!”

As he said that, Fu Huai’an took out his phone from his pocket, swiped to unlock it, and started looking for Chu Xun’s contact.

Lin Nuan saw that Fu Huai’an was indeed going to dial the number and stretched out her arms to grab his phone to stop him.

”Don’t do that!”

From the perspective of a woman, Chu Xun was embarrassed enough as it was since Lin Nuan had caught her in the act when she undressed in front of Fu Huai’an. It would be even worse if Fu Huai’an informed her about their marriage now.

How could she bring herself to add insult to injury!

She snatched his phone and ended the call.

Fu Huai’an lowered his gaze and looked at the woman who had just chucked his phone aside. ”Have you told the Lin family about our marriage?” he asked.

”Not yet, there’s just too much going on in the Lin family now.”

Lin Nuan wasn’t about to let Fu Huai’an take over and change the topic. She pushed his chest away and said, ”Excuse me, I need to go look at some documents.”

”Why would you do that when I am way more attractive than these documents?” Fu Huai’an asked teasingly as he plucked out the papers she was clutching against her chest and put them aside.

Lin Nuan tried to stifle her smile as she told herself not to turn her head to look at Fu Huai’an.

How in the world could someone be so unabashed?

Seeing that Lin Nuan’s eyes were smiling, Fu Huai’an reached out to pull her into a tight embrace.

She buried her head into Fu Huai’an’s chest and tightened her arms around his waist. The rage and grievances bottled inside her started to diminish.

As she took in Fu Huai’an’s pleasant scent, Lin Nuan closed her eyes and felt herself calming down.

Chu Xun’s words replayed again and again inside Lin Nuan’s mind. She asked Fu Huai’an in a hushed tone, ”I am not like Chu Xun, you married me even though I am unable to lend you a hand in realizing your ambition. I am also not the most attractive, why did you choose to be with me?”

People tended to stay as far as possible from someone like her…

Her biological mother was a taboo subject, and she didn’t hail from a distinguished family.

She remembered that Fu Huai’an had mentioned before that, for a man his age, he was supposed to be at his most ambitious.

A businessman seeks profit before anything else and treats love and relationships as something trivial. Fu Huai’an would certainly have more to gain if he were to choose Chu Xun over her.

Fu Huai’an’s eyes darkened when he heard Lin Nuan’s tender voice. He tightened his embrace, pulling her even closer towards him.

Lin Nuan couldn’t see his expression, but Fu Huai’an had never looked more serious than he did at that moment. He whispered into her ear, ”I am hoping that… one day, you will be able to love me as much as you loved Wen Moshen.”

One tended to seek in others what they themselves lacked.

Fu Huai’an was in love with Lu Xiangsi then, but if he was to ask himself honestly, his love was nothing compared to the love that Lin Nuan had for Wen Moshen.

He had only ever witnessed true love that transcends life and death twice in his entire life!

The first was Jiang Ming’an.
