Mr Fu, I Really Love You

Chapter 268: The Husband That Sings the Wife’s Tune

She was still unclear about the situation when she received a voice message from Bai Xiaonian on WeChat.

Fu Huai’an was still talking on the phone, so Lin Nuan converted the voice message into a text.

’Dang! I can’t believe Shi Hanchu actually went to repost Su Manman’s Weibo post. I was just thinking it strange that Shi Hanchu would come on your show so soon after Su Manman did. In actual fact, he’s the husband that’s singing the wife’s tune!’

Lin Nuan recalled that when she last met Liu Mingchen’s mother, she had hinted to Lin Nuan that she was the one who pulled some strings to get Shi Hanchu to appear on the program.

Lin Nuan went over her Weibo feed once again.

Shi Hanchu had reposted Su Manman’s Weibo post but hadn’t added his own captions—not even an emoticon. However, because Shi Hanchu seldom posted on Weibo, that action of his had created quite a furor, and his repost was trending and going viral on Weibo.

Shi Hanchu was the youngest person in history to have been crowned Best Actor in all the awards and was known to be the social media recluse who tended to keep to himself, but he had a good reputation.

It was unimaginable that even Shi Hanchu had made his stand to endorse Lin Nuan openly.

It had been less than half an hour since Shi Hanchu had reposted Su Manman’s Weibo post and Su Manman had reposted that and declared that she wanted to bear his child, but it had already gone viral.

Su Manman had always portrayed an aloof and willful image to the public. Her declaration of wanting to bear Shi Hanchu’s child was shocking, and many thought that her account had been hacked into. Some also felt that Su Manman and Shi Hanchu were using the opportunity to declare that they were dating openly.

There were even some busybodies who urged Shi Hanchu to reply Su Manman.

The attention of netizens had been diverted to the superstars Su Manman and Shi Hanchu, and they were no longer interested in the complicated relationship between Lin Nuan, Wen Moshen, and Gu Hanyan.

Lin Nuan was very grateful to Su Manman. She wasn’t that narcissistic as to believe that Su Manman was professing her love to Shi Hanchu on Weibo to help divert attention from herself. It was already remarkable for a celebrity like Su Manman to declare her support for Lin Nuan in public.

She was lost in thought as she stared at the raindrops falling on the windscreen. She sensed that Fu Huai’an had ended the call, and her gaze naturally turned towards him.

Lin Nuan was bursting with gratitude towards Fu Huai’an. He had been a great help to the Lin family as well as in the Weibo crisis.

Fu Huai’an casually tossed his phone onto the dashboard and flicked the turning indicator on. He looked at her fair and delicate face and asked, ”Is Haicheng television station organizing a talent competition?”

Lin Nuan had heard Bai Xiaonian mention it. She nodded and said, ”I think they are holding the auditions now!”

Fu Huai’an nodded, his deep gaze didn’t give anything away.

Upon reaching Lin Nuan’s house, he parked the car, and Lin Nuan unbuckled her seat belt slowly and said, ”My father has returned home.”

She thought it was only right to inform Fu Huai’an. After all, he had been the one to help secure Lin Jingquan’s release.

Fu Huai’an retrieved his phone from the dashboard and slotted it into the pocket of his suit. He said smilingly in his deep and rich voice, ”It’s a good thing, isn’t it? Why are you still frowning?”

Lin Nuan had mixed feelings. She was worried when Lin Jingquan wasn’t released, and with him being back, she was worried that it might implicate Fu Huai’an.

With one hand on the steering wheel, Fu Huai’an reached out to grasp Lin Nuan’s slender hand that was on her lap and gave it a light squeeze. ”Are you worried about me?”
