Chapter 639: Chapter 336: [Dome Sky Brain System] and [Mechanical Core Engine]_2

When Song Chi had finished examining the long attributes panel before him, he had already made his choice in his heart.

His gaze shifted and quickly intertwined with Ansewei’s, who was looking over from beside him.

Before Song Chi could speak, Ansewei took the lead, saying, “This time, little brother, you go first. Just don’t treat me like an outsider, alright?”

Ansewei’s tone was carefree, devoid of any emotion, clearly coming from the heart.

As the daughter of the contemporary Duke of Chenxing, although she was not particularly favored, she had received a thorough royal education from a young age, and her personal discernment and judgment were certainly up to par.

Having witnessed the fierce battle earlier, Ansewei was all too aware of the terror of that mechanical war beast. If Song Chi hadn’t intervened, even if Seyn Chenxing joined in later, they wouldn’t be able to shake the enemy in the short term.

...

It was highly likely that they would have to call upon their fourth and even fifth rank ancestors to finally kill this fifth rank mechanical war beast. But if it came to that, would there still be any share for her in these two silver oddities?

As for waiting decades or centuries until her own strength was sufficient, by then she would likely have been used as a tool in a political marriage, her every move restricted by outsiders. By then, even if she succeeded in obtaining these two oddities, what significance would it hold?

Thus, no matter how one looked at it, Song Chi deserved the first choice due to his significant contributions, even though she had provided the location of this civilization relic.

Song Chi nodded without any hesitation or reluctance.

To kill that fifth rank mechanical war beast, no one knew better than him how much had been utilized by Cangqiong.

Besides the neutron star fission with its mere 24-hour cooldown feature, the “Pusuo Time Realm” and “Final Blessing” both required a solid five-year cooldown, and even with the “Zen Meditation Seal: Inner Speed” feature, both required a full year to buffer.

Without hesitation, Song Chi directly reached for the [Dome Sky Sub-brain].

Having fully reviewed all the attributes of the [Dome Sky Brain System] component, Song Chi had already made up his mind and had no doubts at the moment.

The reason was quite simple.

Not only because intelligence oddities are exceedingly rare, but also because this [Dome Sky Brain System] component matched Cangqiong perfectly and was one of the urgently needed components for Cangqiong.

Once installed, it would not only significantly improve the control efficiency of Cangqiong but also alleviate the pressure on Song Chi himself.

Despite having reached the Divine Thought State Spiritual, he was essentially only capable of tenfold mind utilization, and even with the limit-breaking state, that was merely eleven uses with one mind.

It sounds extensive, but considering the ten components already installed in addition to the need to monitor the warship’s periphery during battle and dodge attacks from all directions, ten or even thirty uses were far from sufficient.

In fact, not only Song Chi but all Torch Ship Captains suffered from this issue.

Because of this, the spiritual energy of Torch Ship Captains would deplete very quickly during intense combat operations, leading them into a state of severe exhaustion.

A perfect solution to this problem would be to equip a high-level intelligence brain on the warship, which would relieve most of the pressure on a Torch Ship Captain.

Although the solution was straightforward, all Torch Ship Captains were hesitant, as intelligence brains and particularly high-level ones, bore significant instability risks; one slip-up could lead them to overtake the host.

This was evident from the sizable number of mechanical race civilizations throughout the Shattered Starry Sea.

It was also the reason why the Four Great Super Empires of Torch Humanity strictly prohibited equipping high-level intelligence brains on Torch Warships.

However, all these mentioned above are just ordinary high-level Intelligent Brains, not the Oddity Brains that can be transformed into shipborne components.

Though both are Intelligent Brains, there is one major difference: the latter has successfully passed the spectral energy transformation of the Seed of Torch.
