Global Era of Star trekking

After all, the Blue Torch Seed cannot initiate the task of ascending to the Fourth Rank of warships.

”Grandfather, have the three special resources required for the Furious Lion’s ascension been collected?”

Hearing this, Song Mingsong shook his head.

”Two months ago, Grandfather had just managed to gather enough Golden Merit Points to exchange for an Orange Ascension Fire Source, and for that, I even traded away all ten strands of Fourth-Rank Floating Land Origin acquired from the Floating Land Origin Eruption Eye last year within the Pulse.

Now, I practically have nothing left; otherwise, I wouldn’t have only been able to enhance the Yuejin Ram Horn component to the Fourth Rank, nearly causing a major disaster.”

Hearing this, Song Chi, who had some guesses, was not surprised.

However, the Yuejin Ram Horn did make him realize something.

He had been puzzled as to why the Furious Lion had managed to breach the skull of the Golden Armored Giant Beast so easily, finishing it off. Although one half of its head had melted due to Neutron Star Fission, the beast had been filled to the brim with the Power of Laws for defense, and shouldn’t have been ripped apart so effortlessly.

Now, knowing that the Yuejin Ram Horn component had been enhanced to the Fourth Rank, it all made sense.

As for why Grandfather had chosen to enhance the Yuejin Ram Horn rather than the Apocalyptic Annihilation Cannon or the Warship Armor, Song Chi could understand his reasoning.

Being one of the rare close-ranged weapons on the Torch Warship, the Yuejin Ram Horn inherently possesses admirable Armor Break attributes, which is particularly effective against the defensively renowned Golden Armored Giant Beast.

Plus, with Grandfather’s fiery temperament, the likelihood of him enhancing the Warship Armor to simply act as the Furious Lion’s ”turtle shell” was obviously slim.

As for the Apocalyptic Annihilation Cannon, though it is an Orange Main Cannon, it has been said before that its regular cannon fire lacks Armor Break attributes, which is a significant drawback against the defensively excellent Golden Armored Giant Beast.

After all, relying solely on the ”Apocalyptic Annihilation Pulse” Feature, which can be used only once in a battle, would not likely cause fatal damage to a Fourth-Rank Lifeform.

Coming back to his senses, Song Chi thought for a moment, then a glimmer of light twinkled on his forehead, and a ball of light floated out from it.

It was nothing other than 40 strands of Fourth-Rank Floating Land Origin.

These 40 strands of Fourth-Rank Floating Land Origin were originally obtained from Goblin Luke and have been kept for over a year. Song Chi had planned to reserve them for enhancement of components such as Neutron Star Core Armor once his Seed of Torch ascended to Purple.

However, given that Grandfather had now initiated the ascension task, and the following year would be critical, and considering it would take him at least another year or two to accumulate 140 Golden Merit Points, it was naturally more cost-effective to prioritize Grandfather’s needs first.

With these 40 strands of Fourth-Rank Floating Land Origin, along with the substantial amount of Titanium Crystal obtained this time, Grandfather should be able to enhance several key components of the Furious Lion to the Fourth Rank ahead of schedule.

Thus, in the upcoming year, the Furious Lion would be able to hunt more Alien Species, increasing the chance of a successful ascension as much as possible.

Seeing the 40 strands of Fourth-Rank Floating Land Origin that Song Chi took out, Song Mingsong asked no questions and did not refuse either, directly drawing them over to himself.

The Furious Lion was in urgent need of the Fourth-Rank Floating Land Origin, so naturally, he did not hold back. As for the future, if the Furious Lion successfully ascended, he would return twice the amount to his grandson.

But if the ascension failed, they would have to resort to using the Pulse’s communal resources, in any case, he would not wrong his own grandson without cause.
