Global Era of Star trekking

”Third Uncle, can Mobile Warstars really rival a Starry Sea Fourth Rank Life Form?”

Behind Song Wen, the yet-to-awaken second son Song Hai, Song Bo, asked with curiosity brimming in his eyes.

Hearing this, Song Chao carefully pondered for a while before responding:

”Let’s put it this way, as a unit of war, in large-scale battles, the deterrent power of a Mobile Warstar exceeds that of an ordinary Fourth Rank Life Form. The dense array of cannon openings isn’t just for show.”

”But if we’re talking about a one-on-one fight, there’s a high probability that a Mobile Warstar would be no match for those Fourth Rank Life Forms. After all, it is a mechanical creation, too bulky in size, which is a significant drawback in terms of agility. To those real Fourth Rank Life Forms, it would be like a giant punching bag.”

Upon hearing this, everyone nodded thoughtfully as if they understood, yet also as if they didn’t grasp anything; to them, the concept of a Fourth Rank was still too distant, and they completely lacked understanding of what it meant to possess an absolute advantage in speed at that level.

The Furious Lion sped on its way, swiftly passing the regions where two Mobile Warstars were located, heading towards the central area of the Dinghai Star Domain, with the Mountain trailing close behind.

During the swift journey, they also passed several Life-Form Star Sea Floating Lands, but the Furious Lion did not stop.

The Dinghai Star Domain was vast. As the self-governed territory of the Dinghai Song Family, there weren’t only members of the Song family within the Star Domain; there were also numerous families left behind by the first generation of pioneers who had followed the Song family in settling the area.

For instance, Chen Lixia, the mother of Song Chi from her maternal family, the Chen Clan, was one such moderately-sized family in the Dinghai Star Domain. The family once had a Third Rank Torch Ship Captain, but by now, it had declined and was propped up only by a few Second Rank Torch Ship Captains.

Families like the Chen Clan existed by the dozens in the Dinghai Star Domain. They occupied some Level 1 Life Floating Lands and various low-level resource Floating Lands on the outer edges of the Star Domain, acting as dependent families to the Dinghai Song Family.

The Floating Lands directly controlled by the Song family were primarily located in the core region of the Dinghai Star Domain or various strategic Star Regions; the Floating Lands they were passing by now were not under Song family control.

Of course, these Floating Lands were not just given away to those families. Usually, they had to tribute a certain amount of resources to the Song family every year. During wartime, these families were expected to follow the Song family’s command.

Time flew, and several days soon passed.

In the core region of the Dinghai Star Domain, a fleet consisting of over a hundred warships moved at high speed.

At the very front of the fleet were nearly ten cruisers, each stretching for kilometers in length.

Aboard one of the cruisers towards the middle of the formation, Song Chi’s gaze was constantly sweeping from side to side. Indeed, the Furious Lion and the Mountain were part of this fleet. As for the identity of this fleet,

According to dad, it belonged to the family’s Internal Affairs Hall and was dispatched to receive them.

For a branch that had left the family nearly fifty years ago, returning to the fold was indeed a significant event within the Dinghai Song Family, hence the initiative by the Internal Affairs Hall to welcome them.

It was at this moment that Song Ting, who was behind, also asked a question.

”Mom, the Internal Affairs Hall? Is the family divided into many halls?”

Chen Lixia promptly replied.

”Yes, the Song family is divided into five main halls: Internal Affairs Hall, External Affairs Hall, War Affairs Hall, Inspection Hall, and Merit Hall.”

”The Internal Affairs Hall is responsible for all internal affairs of the family members, such as Vein Opening, record keeping, income and expenditure, and so on.

The External Affairs Hall is in charge of external trade and negotiations.

The War Affairs Hall has two parts: one is the Expansion Department, which is responsible for the family’s external expansion and exploration; the second is the All-Domain War Department, which is in charge of the family’s patrols and external wars.
