Shifter Mate Tri-Totem (Shifter World - Book Thirteen) (Series of 13 Short Stories)

“Where the fuck are we?” Marry-Beth demanded as she looked around them. “And how did you get us here? And how did you do it if you’re not a Wizard…”

“Do Wizards teleport now?” Cael asked as he walked up to a podium. “I never knew of that ability. Now, Vampires, they’re a different story,” he said with a smirk.

“Are you a Vampire?” Allora asked as she looked around her surroundings.

Cael chuckled, “no, child. I am not a Vampire.”

“I’m far from a child,” Allora grumbled.

Cael smiled, “yes, indeed, you are. Now, would you three please stand in front of this podium. We don’t have long.”

“What’s going on?” Bishop asked as he gathered his girls against him. This stranger was making him uncomfortable.

Cael smiled, “come,” he said as he pointed to the floor in front of the podium.

“Where are we?” Marry-Beth asked as Bishop walked her and Allora to the spot where the stranger was pointing.

“We are in a chapel,” Cael said.

Marry-Beth covered her mouth. And she’d cursed when they’d landed. Great, now she’s going to hell.

Cael laughed, “don’t worry, you’re not going to hell. Senshire would never allow it.”

Marry-Beth blinked up at the man as she and her mates stopped before the strange man and the podium.

“If you’re not a Wizard or Warlock, and you’re not a Vampire. What are you?” Allora asked as she studied the man behind the Podium.

Cael smiled, “I am half White Witch,” he said with a nod.

“Which means your mother was a White Witch,” Marry-Beth said.

Cael nodded, “indeed, she is.”

“Right, White Witches live long lives like Shifters,” Marry-Beth said with a nod.

“So, are you half-human?” Allora asked.

Cael smiled, “no.”

“Enough of this, why did you bring us here?” Bishop demanded.

Cael smiled at him. “Because my aunt asked me to perform a ceremony for the three of you before we rescue your friends.”

Marry-Beth squealed, “the Fated Mates are in trouble?”

Cael nodded.

“Then we must go now!” Marry-Beth hollered as she pulled out of her Fated Mate’s arms and headed for the door.

“Not until I have completed the ceremony,” Cael said as he waved his hand and the double doors to the chapel closed.

Marry-Beth turned to him with fire in her eyes. “You better let me out so I can help my fellow Fated Mates.”

Cael smiled, “I do see why you are one of my aunt’s favorites.”

Marry-Beth blinked. That’s the second time he has called the Goddess Senshire, his aunt. Who is he?

“If you will come back to the podium, I will tell you,” Cael said as he motioned for her to return to her place with her mates.

Marry-Beth grumbled as she did as he said.

“Now,” Cael said with a smile, “I shall tell you what Senshire has in store for you three.”

They looked at the stranger and somehow knew he told the truth, he could not lie, not to them.

“As I said before, my name is Cael Hayes. I am a Spiritual Cleric and the Great Nephew of the Goddess Senshire. She asked me to perform a soul binding ceremony for the three of you. So Allora will be a part of you, and she can gain the strength you have already acquired.”

A tear slid down Allora’s cheek as Marry-Beth and Bishop stared at the man.

“You mean I was meant to be a part of them all along?” Allora asked, trying desperately not to cry.

“Yes,” Cael said with a nod.

Marry-Beth and Bishop were still stuck on the part of this man being the Great Nephew of Senshire.

Cael chuckled as he read Marry-Beth and Bishop’s minds. “I see you are more shocked about who or rather what I am, then you are to discover that Allora is meant to be a part of your bond.”

“We already knew that part,” Bishop said with a wave of his hand, “otherwise I wouldn’t have bonded with her last night when I fu…made love to Marry-Beth.”

Cael chuckled, “indeed,” he said then looked at the still stunned Allora. “Allora dear, you’re what the Goddesses call a second choice Fated Mate. But your mate is a first choice with a mate of her own. I don’t know how it all happened in Aunt Senshire’s realm, but you were always meant to be with Marry-Beth,” he said then looked at Bishop. “And her Fated Mate.”

“What are you?” Marry-Beth whispered.

Cael chuckled as he placed his hands on the podium and leaned over it to look at them. “I am half White Witch, as I said. My mother is a White Witch Healer.”

“Is Senshire your real aunt? Or do you call her aunt because she raised you, like with Zephyrus and Biason?” Marry-Beth asked.

Cael smiled, “the Goddesses are my aunts, and Lucifer is my uncle.”

Marry-Beth’s hand covered her mouth.

“What is it?” Allora asked as she watched her mate.
