She Cried Wolf (OLD)

The royal wolves were the most beautiful and powerful pack of all, said to descend from the first wolves who served the Moon Goddess Selene. On the night of Principessa Hazel's third birthday, rogues poured into the palace and turned the celebration into a massacre. Only the head guard and his team survived, and the little princess's body was never found. Years later, a bruised teenage girl hides her injuries under makeup and tiptoes through a house where every creaky stair is a warning. She cooks for the cruel couple she calls Sir and Mother, stutters when frightened, and believes the voice in her head that says she is ugly and useless. After one more beating she escapes into the woods and runs toward school. Is someone out there waiting to rescue her?
