During that time, Liu Jiamu felt that Yan Huaian must have come from a wealthy family. However, Yan Huaian was like any other international student and would work part-time while he studied. At the time, Liu Jiamu was working in a fast-food restaurant himself.

Nevertheless, Yan Huaian was different. He would work in Yan Hui’s branch in England. According to Yan Huaian, he was only an intern.

Even so, this was already impressive, as, at the very least, he had been hired by a decent company.

When he was free, Yan Huaian would play with stocks. Liu Jiamu noticed that Yan Huaian’s predictions were quite accurate too, which was why he would invest the money he made during his part-time work with Yan Huaian.

He did not know how much Yan Huaian invested himself, tonly thing he knew was that it was not a small number. On the other hand, he was timid, and did not have a lot of money. Moreover, his family was very average. They could afford to let him study in England, but they could not provide him a decent living there.

Even so, he felt that he could not complain much. He was already blessed as his family could afford to let him study overseas. He needed to appreciate a chance like this, since not everyone could have the chance to do this.

He felt thankful for his family and wanted to lessen his family’s burden. This was why he started working part-time.

He used his own money to invest in stocks because if one day he were to lose money, it would be his own and not his parents’.

Thankfully, Yan Huaian’s predictions were always accurate. Thus, he never lost money while following in Yan Huaian’s footsteps.

It did not matter how much money he earned. As long as he did not lose money, he was grateful.

He knew not to invest too much even though he made a lot of money, nor did he try to find more profitable stocks to invest in.

He knew his own abilities well, so he would not do something that would cause himself to lose out.

In addition to this, Liu Jiamu has a good personality. He knew himself well, and knew he was not the kind of person that was skilled in playing with stocks. This was why he decided to just follow Yan Huaian’s actions. At the same time, he did not ask Yan Huaian how much he earned.

As long as Yan Huaian would let him tag along, he was grateful.

Moreover, it was up to one’s ability and fate to make money. He was just a mere human, if he was too greedy, God would definitely take back some of his luck.

God knew how much one would reap in this life. Although Liu Jiamu was quite happy-go-lucky, he still believed in fate.

He believed that got to where he is now only because he did not challenge fate.

Yan Huaian graduated before him and went back to their home country. However, the two of them stayed in touch. They have each other’s contact numbers and even added each other on Wechat. Thus, they would chat constantly and leave comments on each other’s posts.

Some time after, Liu Jiamu graduated and came back to his home country too. He soon called Yan Huaian and they met up. Liu Jiamu got drunk because he was happy, but Yan Huaian was fine. He still looked as mature and elegant as ever.

Then, Liu Jiamu went for an interview in Yan Hui. He wanted to start as a normal office boy, but when he passed his written test and went on to his in-person interview, he saw that Yan Huaian was one of the interviewers.

At that moment, Liu Jiamu’s jaw hung so wide open that it could fit a goose’s egg.

Liu Jiamu went on to become Yan Huaian’s assistant, and Liu Jiamu would always tell his parents that he got it because of their relationship.

He even flexed in front of his parents, saying, “See. We don’t need Uncle Liu or Uncle Li to pull strings to get the job in Yan Hui. I have the biggest string-puller in Yan Hui!”

After this, Liu Jiamu asked Yan Huaian whether he only hired him because of their relationship.

Yan Huaian nodded and said yes, but added that he also hired him on the basis that he did have the ability. It was just a bonus that he knew him from university. This is why he knew Liu Jiamu had a good heart, and that even though he was sometimes playful, he was also mature. Because of this, Yan Huaian believed in Liu Jiamu.

Liu Jiamu never disappointed Yan Huaian. He was a great assistant and never made mistakes.
