The President is Being Shameless Again

The man who was scolding very loudly at first could not find a way out as soon as he saw her tears. He had told himself in his heart that he should not be softhearted easily and he must teach Lin Chu a lesson so that she would not do it anymore.

Whatever he thought just now, however, was all tossed to the back of his head at this moment because of Lin Chu’s tears. He did not have the slightest bit of principle in this.

The man who was initially scolding her with solemn words on valid grounds had immediately disarmed surrendered without any principle. He coaxed her in a soft and gentle voice, “Don’t cry. I was too anxious, and I shouldn’t be so fierce to you. There, there, don’t cry.”

Lin Chu shook her head as she sobbed, “No, it’s all my fault. I don’t feel wronged. I shouldn’t have acted like this.”

In the past, Yan Beicheng could pull her into his embrace to hug and coax her, but now he could not do so. Lin Chu had gotten heavier and he could not do so effortlessly like how he used to. Besides, there was not enough space.

“I know, I know that you understand what I meant,” Yan Beicheng assured. He unfastened his seat belt, leaned over and hugged Lin Chu. He explained, “I was terrified when I saw how you were just now. You could have been knocked down at any time and I was scared. There, there, don’t cry. I feel bad again seeing you like this. I regret being angry at you just now.”

As he coaxed her, he lowered his head to kiss her tears.

He sighed in his heart and could not help scolding himself that he was useless. Once he saw her tears, whatever temper he had would vanish. She was the one who made the mistake, yet he had to turn the tables on himself and coaxed her in the end.

The fundamentals of their interaction were already set from the beginning. It could never be changed even till now.

Lin Chu clutched Yan Beicheng’s collar tightly and explained hurriedly, “No one can be more important than you in my heart. It’s true, not even our child.”

Even when Dai Huimin and Xu Jiaojiao appeared back then and she did not know what intentions they harbored, her very first thought was how would it affect Yan Beicheng.

Without Yan Beicheng, she might try to talk to them. She would make the effort to know them better before deciding if she would accept them or not, rather than being cautious with them right from the start for fear of them harming Yan Beicheng.

Her heart wanted to adopt Mo Jinxi yet she wanted to ask for Yan Beicheng’s opinion first.

“I know,” Yan Beicheng replied, patting her back gently.

Maybe it was because he spoke too lightly, Lin Chu’s heart did not feel at peace. She could not tell what was Yan Beicheng’s mood.

She lifted her head and looked at him with her teary eyes. Her pitiful look directly struck Yan Beicheng with immense regret. He thought that he should have spoken to her nicely instead, what’s the point to be fierce to her?

Right now, he was busy wiping away Lin Chu’s tears. She sniffled her stuffed nose, which had turned red from her crying. Her sobbing look made Yan Beicheng felt like he was admonishing a daughter.

She gripped Yan Beicheng’s collar tightly, thinking that he did not believe her and hurriedly explained again, “It’s true, it’s true that no one can be more important than you. You said you’re afraid that once I give birth to our son, all my attention will be on him and I will neglect you. But regardless if they are sons or daughters, when they grow up to be adults they would eventually marry and form their own family and leave us. They’ll be like how we are now in the future, having a significant other half and regarding each of their families as the most important. No matter how many children we give birth to, they will all leave us eventually.”
