The President is Being Shameless Again

She did not even know that Yan Beicheng had got out of the car, crossed the road and fetched her. Lin Chu’s brain was not herself; it was empty throughout the entire journey. She entered the car aided and supported by Yan Beicheng who fastened the seat belt properly for her.

Seeing her seated in the car safely, Yan Beicheng only then heaved a sigh of relief. When he was looking at the entrance of her company across from him in the car just now, he saw her looking distracted as she came out. He immediately got out of the car and crossed the road to fetch her. Luckily, he arrived in time otherwise he would be very worried for her in her current condition.

Now seeing that Lin Chu had not snapped out of it yet, he clenched his teeth and became very furious.

He held his anger and started driving. Lin Chu only snapped out of it after the car drove for quite a distance, discovering that the route was heading to the orphanage.

As Lin Chu turned her head in surprise, Yan Beicheng said, “Mo Jingsheng called me. They’re currently at the orphanage. Judging from your reaction, you also might’ve known about it already.”

His voice was very cold. Even at the very beginning, when Yan Beicheng was pursuing her and was misunderstood by her, he fumed too but his voice was never as cold as now.

Lin Chu’s heart shuddered for a bit, turning her head and looking at the side of his ice-cold face. His attractive thin lips pursed tightly into one stern line.

Although Lin Chu would act out for a while from time to time, she would be terrified if Yan Beicheng was truly irate.

Both of her hands subconsciously twisted together like a wronged young wife. She asked, “Are you angry?”

Yan Beicheng turned his head at last and looked at her in the eye. His gaze, however, seemed somewhat taunting.

Lin Chu’s heart stung by the way he looked at her, saying, “Don’t look at me like that, I feel bad.”

Pursing his lips tightly, Yan Beicheng glanced at the car’s surroundings and turned the steering wheel. He found a suitable place to stop and park the car and turned off the engine.

He had a taut expression throughout, and he did not say a word.

Yan Beicheng looked at her for a long time, so much so that Lin Chu felt like breaking into tears before he spoke sternly, “What is so important that made you so worried that you can’t even pay attention to the road and endanger yourself and the child?”

Lin Chu finally understood what he was enraged about. She was being scolded by Yan Beicheng but she did not feel wronged. She knew that she made a mistake and Yan Beicheng was right.

“If I wasn’t there, you are going to walk around absentmindedly and what if something happened? No one can bear this responsibility, even you can’t be responsible for this as well. If something happened, you’ll only feel sad, hurt and suffer the pain. Who can be responsible for that?” Yan Beicheng scolded sternly.

Lin Chu lowered her head. She did not dare to look at him and was ashamed to do so as well. She apologized, “I’m sorry, I did wrong.”

Yan Beicheng pursed his lips, “Every time you made a mistake, you would always acknowledge it very promptly.”

He was admonishing her like a child.

“I know you adore Mo Jinxi and this news is very important to you. You even feel very happy upon hearing the news, but have you ever thought about me, our child, and our family? What would happen to us if you were to meet with an accident? What would happen to me?” Yan Beicheng was extremely furious about this point.

“Do you know how worried I was when I saw you came out of the company so distracted? You walked toward the roadside yet you don’t even know how to look out for traffic. I was afraid that if I went over too late, you would be knocked down or got shocked in that distracted state! When you think about others, can you think a little about me as well?”

Yan Beicheng’s tone became more and more stern. Lin Chu knew it was her fault, and she felt more guilty and ashamed after being scolded by him. Her tears flowed from being rebuked.

“I really know that I’ve made a mistake. I’m sorry. It’s not…it’s not that I don’t care for you all. In my heart, it’s not that Jinxi is more important than you. Nobody can be more important than you and our child. It’s my bad, I’ll no longer be distracted like this anymore,” Lin Chu sobbed, her teardrops the size of beans streaming down her face.
