My Dear Mr. Nice

When Antonio returned to the hospital, Katarina was still in the room with her parents.

Kimberly’s health was deteriorating and she was sleeping more than she was awake, and Marisa was frail but still insisted on staying by her husband’s side at all times.

-Antonio is back...

Marisa, who was facing the door, saw Antonio enter and greeted him.

-Well, mom, I brought you some porridge, have some more while it’s hot.

Katarina looked with both eyes, straight into his hand, she used to refuse night snacks for fear of getting fat, but this time she was really a bit hungry....

Antonio let out a small laugh at her gluttonous cat look.

-You’re with me.

Once that was done, he placed the two packed boxes in his hands on the dining room table.

Katarina was instantly satisfied and smiled, especially at the sight of the Salas Caribe marinara, which is her favorite....

Marisa smiles as she gets up.

Antonio has a very delicate mind. When she tells him once what porridge she likes, he takes it to heart and often makes a special trip to prepare it for her.

If he had that heart for his mother-in-law, he could only do better for Katarina.

Marisa is pleased through and through with her son-in-law, as long as he behaves well with Katarina, the Carballo Group would really do him no harm, and both she and Kimberly are confident that Antonio will not let them down....

Mother and daughter were having a midnight snack and Antonio sat in front of the hospital bed, a skinny, bony Kimberly was literally a handful of skin and bones, chemo, dialysis, relapse, chemo again, they tortured a once spirited man into this....

The father-in-law is actually extraordinarily kind-hearted at heart and cares for his offspring, and is filled with guilt over his own mother, Fabiana, who has repeatedly backed out....

Antonio’s expression became more complex, and his hand on his knee unconsciously closed into a fist....

After a late dinner, Marisa hurried the two of them to rest.

-Antonio you’ve had a busy day at the office, rest soon, look at you, you have dark circles under your eyes, you stayed late again yesterday, didn’t you?

Katarina sniffed and looked closely at Antonio, and sure enough, there was a faint dark shadow under his eyes again, and instantly she blamed herself a little, if she had gone back to him last night, she would have rested earlier....

-It’s okay, don’t worry mom, I’ll make up for it by going to bed early tonight.

Indeed, it was a busy day at the office, he had prepared to go to a showdown with his mother during the day, but he was called back to the office by an assistant and didn’t leave until after dark....

Katarina grabbed the fast food box and volunteered to explain to her mother. This chapter was copied from novelceo.com without permission.

-Mom, let’s go get some rest then, call me if you need anything, I’ll be about ....

Marisa waved her hand and almost pushed them away.

-I know, I know, go get some rest.

They both went back to their rooms.

Katarina asked as she helped him remove his jacket from his body.

-Did you go back and talk to mom?

muttered Antonio faintly.

-I made it clear to her that I was afraid she wouldn’t die and come to mess with dad, so I had more people patrol the hospital.

Katarina hangs up her coat, looks at Antonio and speaks her mind.

-O, let Dad and your mother get to know each other; maybe, when Dad gets to the point he’s at now, she’ll have sympathy..... Since papa has always felt guilty about her, it would surely be more reassuring to have her understanding.

Antonio reached over and took her in his arms with one hand and rubbed her head with the other.

-Katarina, you think too simple, my mother has a strong character and will not stop until she gets what she wants, hatred has blinded her, when we got married, she would have held back because the Carballo family assets were not yet in her hands and it was not to the point of tearing her face off, now, she will say anything and irritate our father even more, besides, it is very likely that There is a possibility that she will shoot our mother.....

Katarina paused, thinking of the visit she had paid him yesterday, when she had told him bluntly that her father had one foot in the coffin, without a trace of pity, without a trace of the old feelings, and she shuddered, immediately dismissing the idea of asking her father to meet Fabiana.

Antonio squeezed her arm, lifted her chin with one hand and looked down.

-Katarina, I miss you so much....

Then kiss her on the lips.....
