The baby was sleeping soundly. His pink hand was clenched into a small fist beside his cheek. The baby was seven pounds and two ounces. His cheeks were chubby. Old Master tried his best to restrain himself from touching them.

The baby’s small face was fair and clean, and his skin was so tender that water could be squeezed out of it. The overall outline of his eyebrows and facial features were like Fu Sinian’s. His small nose and mouth were a little more like Shi Qian’s.

If this child grew up, he would definitely be even more handsome than his father.

When the Old Master heard the commotion in the room, he didn’t even look back. It was as if the baby was the only thing left in his world.

“Old Master, Miss has returned to the ward,” Jin An reminded him.

“Qian Qian is back!” The Old Master turned around and quickly walked in Shi Qian’s direction. “Qian Qian, let Grandpa take a look. Why is your face so pale? Does it still hurt? It’s been hard on you, Qian Qian.”

“I’m fine, Grandpa. I just feel a little tired and sleepy.”

“Then rest well. Sleep for a while to replenish your strength. Grandpa will stay here with you.”

Shi Qian nodded and glanced in the child’s direction again. Then, she fell asleep in peace.

!!..

She slept for more than four hours.

When she woke up, her energy was almost recovered. She felt that she had strength again.

Wen Lan was feeding the child.

The child had just woken up and was not crying or making a fuss.

Shi Qian sat up. Wen Lan quickly picked up the child and went to the bed.

“Mom, I want to hug him.” Shi Qian held out her hand, looking expectant and excited.

Wen Lan carefully placed the baby in Shi Qian’s arms.

“Look, his nose and mouth are so like yours. He’s too beautiful.”

Shi Qian looked at the baby carefully. The baby’s eyes were open, as if he was looking at her too.

When he was born, he realized that the child looked a little like her and Fu Sinian. After all, he was their biological son. However, fortunately, he still looked a little like her.

She wondered if Grandpa and Mom would suspect anything.

However, ever since her pregnancy was exposed, her grandfather and Mom’s attitude often made her suspicious. She felt that her grandfather and Mom didn’t want to know who the child’s father was at all.

She hadn’t even made up a lie. This matter was over just like that.

Now that the child was born, her doubts deepened.

How could Grandpa and Mom be the kind of people who could be easily fooled? Had they long guessed that the child was Fu Sinian’s?

However, they didn’t interfere too much in her and Fu Sinian’s matters anymore.

She was touched. Although there was such a big problem between her and Fu Sinian, Grandpa and Mom really treated her like a daughter.

Even if she and Fu Sinian couldn’t be together, they could still be a family.

Shi Qian suddenly calmed down and stopped dwelling on this matter.

So what if Fu Sinian knew that the child was his? Grandpa and Mom would stand by her side unconditionally. Wasn’t he engaged to Song Ning? Sooner or later, he would have to get married and have children. It was fine as long as he didn’t disturb their lives.

At the thought of Fu Sinian, Shi Qian couldn’t help but think of last night when Fu Sinian left.

Her heart began to tighten again.

Suddenly, the baby snorted softly and puckered his lips in Shi Qian’s arms.

“The baby might be hungry.”

“I’ll feed him now.” Shi Qian insisted on breast milk.

Besides, she had taken classes before. Although she was not very familiar with breastfeeding, she still fed the baby well.

After her first breastfeeding, she felt even more accomplished as a mother..
