Chapter 1141: Chapter 29: Road to Paradise (Thanks to the unparalleled master of 37 days for the silver league reward!)_2

“You too.”

…

…

In the early morning of August 24th, Mi Country time, a Starship Rocket carrying a spacecraft took off from Boca Chica Launch Center and entered outer space.

To the public, this was claimed to be merely a cooperative test with NASA Mi Country, and details were inconvenient to disclose.

SPACE-T Company and NASA have an inexplicably murky relationship, and this operation did not attract much attention.

20 hours later.

The spacecraft secretly landed, and an astronaut holding a square white mini-fridge walked out, got into a car under tight security, and headed to SPACE-T headquarters.

…

“Hehehe, truly amazing.”

The man who looked like Jask patted the mini-fridge:

“I had seen Jask often tinkering with this thing, I thought he was a closet white-appliance enthusiast with some collecting mania… Turns out, it’s not a fridge at all!”

“Such a bizarre idea, if it’s not a fridge, why design it to look like one? Why couldn’t it be a microwave, a vacuum cleaner, or a rice cooker?”

“You talk too much.”

Next to him, a stern-faced female secretary with slipping red-framed glasses, glared at the man:

“Even when it’s just the two of us, don’t forget your role as Jask. This is a 24/7 job, no relaxation allowed even for a minute.”

“Oh, no! You lie!”

The man resembling Jask screamed, clutching his head:

“You never provided the conditions necessary for me to play Jask 24/7! Does the world’s richest man, Jask, sleep by himself in bed every night? Are his luxury cars used to haul sugarcane? Are his villas used to store potatoes?”

“Woman! Oh, woman! I’m supposed to be playing the world’s richest playboy, how can I perform without female models, actresses accompanying me at night? I can’t fully bring out my acting skills!”

“Enough! Shut up!”

The female secretary glared at him harshly, looking at the encrypted communicator that lit up green, indicating an incoming communication request.

No need to guess, it was definitely Copernicus.

Because this encrypted communicator did not have free communication function and was always only able to make contact one-way.

The female secretary pressed the communication button.

Video feed was off, only the voice came through:

“Was the capture successful?”

It was a raspy voice of an old man.

With the camera facing her side, the Jask-looking man leaned over, waving at the camera:

“Hi! BOSS! You should have called earlier, then you’d hear my urgent demands, I’m facing some insurmountable difficulties in playing Jask… I need Victoria’s support.”

“Cough, I mean… Victoria’s secret support, can you approve it?”

However…

Neither the raspy-voiced old man nor the female secretary paid any attention to this drama king.

“The capture was successful.”

The female secretary softly responded, then patted the nearby white mini-fridge:

“What next? Are you coming to pick it up? Or should we deliver it to you? Or find a place to keep it for you.”

“[Open it.]”

The old man’s voice was raspy yet calm:

“Aim the camera at the mini-fridge… open the fridge door… let me see inside.”

The female secretary turned to look at the Jask-looking man.

No response.

“What’s wrong?”

The old man’s voice became stern:

“Why aren’t you opening it? Do I need to repeat myself?”

“Huh? What?”

The Jask-looking man cupped his hand over his ear and shouted:

“BOSS, is the signal bad on your end, can’t hear what you’re saying! Did you approve my request? Which one, no no no… Which few Victoria’s Secret models can I choose? How many are you giving me?”

“[I told you to open the fridge!]”

The old man’s tone got harsher and more authoritative.

“Oh, oh, hey… so it’s about opening the fridge.”

The Jask-looking man puckered his lips, started typing on the screen, and muttered softly:

“So my proposal was rejected huh? How can I embody the extravagant lifestyle of the world’s richest if I don’t truly experience it?”

“Hehe, aren’t you performing quite well already?”

With impatience in her tone, the female secretary, right after the mini-fridge’s password was entered, snapped open the fridge door:

“We don’t need you anymore, Fake Sike, move aside, don’t block the camera!”

The Jask-looking man muttered something under his breath and dutifully left.

The female secretary picked up the encrypted communicator and aimed the camera inside the mini-fridge.

One could hear…

From the communicator, the breathing of the old man became more and more hurried.
