Chapter 1097: Chapter 16: Time Shuttle Machine (Added for the Alliance Leader Beneath Fengtian City’s Seal Uncle!)_2

The so-called scientific research is essentially ten thousand errors that lead to one success, or even a hundred thousand, a million experiments to achieve success once.

This is all normal and necessary trial and error.

No scientific researcher is afraid of failure, they understand more than anyone that failure is the mother of success.

Of course, in Donghai City and all other cities, scientific failures are certainly not penalized, but… the suppression and constraints of societal and widespread norms cause the innate drive and courage to make mistakes to disappear.

Imagine this.

A person who fears penalties in life, dares not speak up, take risks, make mistakes, or offer dissent or rebellion, is it possible for them to suddenly become fearless of hardship and failure, challenge authority with a bold spirit after graduating from years of hard study and entering the laboratory?

Is that realistic?

Not at all.

Gao Wen, who was doing research in Donghai City, encountered such troubles.

All the researchers and scientists were tied up and cautious, treating research merely as a job for a salary, with no thought of breakthroughs or progress.

This is naturally related to the repressed life they have experienced since childhood.

Especially the young people who came from school to intern in the laboratory, in the eyes of Gao Wen, each and every one of them was as dumb as a wooden chicken, timid and fearful, devoid of any scientific spirit.

He was very disappointed.

Not just disappointed with Donghai City, but with such a future.

He could already foresee.

If human society continues this way, it’s not just a matter of stalled development, but it will eventually regress and degrade due to the loss of vitality and courage.

Therefore, Gao Wen took the initiative to leave Donghai City, and came to the adjacent City of Sin.

He certainly didn’t think there were only good people in the City of Sin, but at least… the people here made him feel more human, full of drive and enthusiasm.

Here, he met Chen Heping, who was younger than him.

At that time, Chen Heping was only in his twenties, not yet married, and had not yet had Big Face Cat.

Chen Heping was very fond of mathematics, and agreed with many of Gao Wen’s ideas, especially regarding the denial of the current future and the expectation of a better one… The two hit it off immediately, finding mutual understanding and becoming close friends.

Afterward.

Gao Wen and Chen Heping began to embark on building the Time Shuttle Machine, hoping to rewrite the terrible future by changing the past.

Gao Wen had already conducted “dabble” research on the Time Shuttle Machine in his youth, and the manuscript “The Principles of Time Shuttle Theory and Construction Ideas for the Time Shuttle Machine” was also stored in his Hibernation Pod storage locker.

Although after reading it, Gao Wen burned all the materials brought with him from hibernation, all the knowledge was in his brain, and he easily copied it to show Chen Heping.

“I must say, Chen Heping is a genius,” said Gao Wen to Lin Xian with emotion:

“I always felt that many theoretical principles have to be studied through Space-Time Particles… Of course, back then, we didn’t know they were called Space-Time Particles, just felt that the existence of such a thing was logical. We only learned of the name Space-Time Particles and their existence later on.”

“I’ll continue about Chen Heping; my manuscript at that time encountered problems in many places, getting stuck, the reason being the lack of Space-Time Particles, which made it impossible to derive conclusions and results.”

“But Chen Heping… with just a few years, using nothing but pen and paper for calculations, actually derived many logics and formulas.”

“I don’t know if you understand this stuff, but he, he just derived it out of thin air, I really don’t know how else to describe this kind of natural talent.”

Speaking of Chen Heping.

In Gao Wen’s eyes, there was nothing but admiration, reverence, longing, and reluctance:

“That’s why, even without Space-Time Particles, I was able to completely perfect the Time Shuttle Theory and overcome the construction of the Time Shuttle Machine.”

“It’s all Chen Heping’s credit… Without him, if I could never obtain Space-Time Particles, I would never have been able to build the Time Shuttle Machine in my lifetime.”
