Genius Club

Chapter 1096: Chapter 16: Time Shuttle Machine (An additional chapter for Alliance Leader Feng Tian City’s Lord!)

“Do you really intend to kill… the founder of the Savior Company?”

Lin Xian asked.

According to his understanding, Gao Wen’s target was likely a member of the Genius Club, the lady wearing Da Vinci’s mask known as [Da Vinci].

After all, in this era, all cities are controlled and managed by mechanical androids, and tracing back to the root cause, it was precisely the establishment of the Savior Company and the manufacturing of millions of mechanical androids that ultimately led to this suffocating future.

“No, no, no.”

Gao Wen shook his head, denying Lin Xian’s speculation:

“In this world, although everyone dislikes the oppressive personal scoring system, there is actually no resentment towards the Savior Company.”

“Everyone is clear that if the Savior Company hadn’t taken precautions and used a massive number of androids to help humanity rebuild civilization, life now would be even worse, more miserable, and it might even be a question of whether human civilization would still exist.”

“Even for me personally, I am more grateful than averse to the Savior Company. I am certainly aware that the Savior Company’s original intention was good and that they have never done anything to harm humanity… How could I possibly repay kindness with ingratitude?”

Lin Xian blinked.

Emperor Gao Wen was indeed very rational:

“Then who is your target?”

Clenching his teeth, Gao Wen declared decisively:

“The one who caused the super disaster of the year 2400. Only he is the real culprit!”

“Without the disaster, human civilization would not have retrogressed, the population would not have decreased, and mechanical androids would not have taken over the rule of the cities… none of this would have happened.”

“Given the level of human technological development in the year 2400, if not for that disaster, we might have already flown out of the Earth, out of the Solar System, heading towards the far broader reaches of the Universe.”

“This global disaster absolutely cannot be a natural disaster. From the fact that the Savior Company prepared androids in advance and activated them when needed, one can see that some people knew about the disaster in advance.”

“Therefore, it goes without saying… this disaster event must have been man-made.”

Lin Xian nodded.

The conclusion was obvious.

“But you said you don’t know who triggered the super disaster of 2400. Even if you send the space-time killer back, how would you locate the perpetrator behind it all?”

“That’s one of the reasons I’m looking for space-time particles.”

Gao Wen answered:

“[Both Big Face Cat’s father and I speculate that the super disaster of 2400 was likely caused by someone using space-time particles!]”

…

Gao Wen’s words left Lin Xian deep in thought.

This.

Was indeed a novel line of reasoning.

He had not understood before, what kind of man-made power could create a global-scale natural disaster…

That itself was very unscientific.

The power of humankind is very small in the face of nature.

Even if we detonate all nuclear weapons, humans would probably be extinct, but for the Earth, it would be no more than scratching an itch.

You must understand, any single earthquake, volcanic eruption, or tsunami releases energies tens or hundreds of times greater than all the nuclear weapons in the world.

The energy of geological activities is astronomical in itself and is not something that can be moved by human means.

In this light.

The speculation of Gao Wen and Big Face Cat’s father indeed made a lot of sense.

“I understand now.”

Lin Xian said:

“I originally thought that you were stealing space-time particles from Donghai City purely for the purpose of time travel, but I didn’t realize it was killing two birds with one stone.”

“As long as you get the space-time particles, you can analyze the truth behind the super disaster of 2400 through research, thereby narrowing down the range of suspects, and then expend the space-time particles to send the space-time killer back to eliminate the real culprit.”

Suddenly.

Lin Xian thought of something.

In The Fifth Dreamland, Gao Wen was unable to continue his research on the Time Shuttle Machine due to a lack of space-time particles, and thus chose to leave notes and enter the Hibernation Pod.

But now.

Emperor Gao Wen still had not obtained space-time particles.

So, how did he manage to successfully develop the Time Shuttle Machine?

Lin Xian directly voiced his confusion:
