Peasant Woman’s Decreed Life as a Wife

Chapter 1006: 1003 Sun Ning

But after finishing their meal, they regretted it because it was too delicious; if they hadn’t tasted it, they could have endured, but now that they had, they felt like their whole body was screaming for more.

“Eunuch, please give me some more, I didn’t even get to taste it properly,” the guard said with a tearful expression.

Eunuch Ren smiled smugly, “No way, this is all mine. I don’t have the cheek to ask Madam to make more, if you want some, go ask for it yourself.”

The guard, on the brink of tears, paced around the courtyard, trying to overcome his embarrassment and go to Ye Muyu to ask for a bowl. He reached the door but turned back, hearing Eunuch Ren joyfully slurping his noodles, which made him feel even worse.

He was so upset that he ran into the kitchen and gulped down a bowl of water.

He only felt slightly better after the taste in his mouth had been somewhat diluted.

“Ah.”

Just then, a scream came from Eunuch Ren in the courtyard.

The guard hurried outside, only to see his boss snatching the remaining half-bowl of noodles from Eunuch Ren’s hands, sitting beside and devouring it swiftly, finishing the noodles in just two bites.

He still wasn’t satisfied and drank all the soup as well.

Eunuch Ren hardly had time to react; he watched the clean bowl and shrieked, “Who let you eat that, that’s mine!”

“Whoever grabs it owns it,” Xiao Tianhao snorted lightly, smacking his lips, “Ah, still not full.”

“Damn it, the leftovers are mine,” Eunuch Ren quickly grabbed two plates of food and ran inside, locking the door behind him.

Xiao Tianhao was just a step behind, only hearing Eunuch Ren munching and exclaiming how delicious it was inside the room.

“Miscalculation,” Xiao Tianhao scratched his head in irritation, “Was this really made by Chu Heng’s lady?”

“Boss, are you going to ask Madam to make another portion?” the guard’s eyes immediately lit up.

“Uh…” Xiao Tianhao dared not, he hadn’t planned on letting Chu Heng know his identity, so how could he possibly go and ask Ye Muyu to cook.

Seeing Xiao Tianhao’s stern face, the guard knew his hopes were dashed and he said somewhat miserably, “Ah, if only we had asked Madam to make more.”

“That’s easy, from now on just use Eunuch Ren’s name when you ask Madam to cook, and remember to give her some silver.”

“No problem.” The guard wanted to eat too, especially since he had only had a bite and was craving more, unlike his boss who directly took half while Eunuch Ren was boasting, unaware that his boss would shamelessly snatch it away.

The guard couldn’t help but laugh at the thought.

Xiao Tianhao lightly coughed, feeling as if he had lost all his pride, but the delicious taste in his mouth had decided for him that he would continue to snatch in the future!

Eunuch Ren finished the two plates of cold dishes inside the room, then came out.

Seeing the plates as clean as if they had been washed, Xiao Tianhao’s mouth twitched slightly, only uttering two words: “You’re ruthless.”

Then he disappeared.

Eunuch Ren came out of the room, snorted lightly, “If you snatch my food again, next time I’ll complain to the Emperor.”

–

Outside the courtyard, Sun Ning didn’t dare to get too close, but she saw that the food in the lunch box was indeed eaten by Eunuch Ren, and she snorted angrily, “No wonder Eunuch Ren always protects that shameless woman, it’s because of her thick-skinned way of bringing food to curry favor with the Eunuch.”

“Come on, let’s go get some food from the main kitchen.”

Although the maidservants felt something was off, they couldn’t figure it out, so they followed Sun Ning to the main kitchen.

By evening.

Carrying a lunch box in hand, Sun Ning arrived outside the courtyard, cheerfully telling the guard, “I am Sun family’s young miss, Sun Ning, here to deliver food for Eunuch. This is from He County’s greatest chef, including Dongpo pork, fragrant fried fish, and seafood soup, all very delicious.”

Sun Ning confidently tilted her head back, looking at the guard to let him report inside.
