Your Majesty, I need to use the restroom

If she did set an example, it was highly possible that she would become the target of all the concubines!

How could the seemingly gentle and kind empress set an imperceptible trap while she pretended to be caring and considerate! Pei Zhuang couldn’t help gasping in surprise.

Having seen through her plot already, Pei Zhuang still smiled tamely. Judging by her plump face as well as her cute smile, Pei Zhuang seemed totally harmless.

With a wisp of light skimming across her eyes, the empress remained quiet for a while before saying calmly, “Since you have spared no effort to serve His Majesty for the past few years, I have asked the servants to replace your bed with another one of premium quality. Please try your best from now on.”

Tried my best to do what?

Let the jerk “pamper” her?

It was totally unnecessary!

She merely wanted to survive in the Imperial Palace under his protection!

Since the jerk had already fallen in love with someone else, so why would she meddle in?

Pei Zhuang did accept the fact rationally, but the jealousy rising in her heart all of a sudden still made her uncomfortable. She twisted her hips awkwardly.

With her head lowered, the empress shook her fan slowly as she turned away with a sigh of helplessness. Follow the newest chapters on novelceo dot com.

“Yes, Your Majesty. I will try my best to give birth to a son in a year or so. The emperor is definitely in need of an heir, isn’t he?”

Unsurprisingly, upon hearing her words, the empress’ face darkened at once. The Buddha beads squeaked under her pinch.

Pei Zhuang’s heart was pounding in correspondence with the shrill sound.

She had terribly offended the empress.

In her acquired memory, the empress hadn’t been able to bear a child in the past four years ever since she was married into the palace.

Except her, all the concubines had never been pregnant before!

Pei Zhuang remembered when she tried to seduce that perverted emperor, she was greatly surprised at his strong dislike for women...

Her plumpness did play a vital role in it. Frankly speaking, being fat was an original sin for a lady!

However, he went too far by rushing away at once. It was exactly the biggest stigma for Pei Zhuang!

Having slept beside her for many days, the jerk hadn’t even touched her hand for once!

She couldn’t help being suspicious about his sexual orientation...If it were in the modern society, he would surely be dumped by his wife. But here in the ancient world...

Pei Zhuang was lost in fantasy again.

She sat on the couch and fixed her gaze on the empress. This chapter was copied from novelceo . com without permission.

Seized with panic under her gaze, the empress was worried that she might have seen through her plot!

She waved her hand before Pei’s eyes intentionally. At the sight of her expressionless face, she finally let out a sigh of relief.

It was beyond her expectation that Pei Zhuang would raise her voice all of a sudden. The empress almost fell to the ground upon hearing her words!

“Your Majesty, I don’t feel well, so I’m afraid I may have to leave as soon as possible in case I vomit and dirty the floor.”

Pei Zhuang curtsied and left in a hurry even before the empress had time to speak.

Just then, an idea suddenly popped in her mind!

That jerk treated her very well because he feared that she would take desperate measures when being cornered.

If the emperor were sexually continent...

All the things she had done would be in vain.
