Rebirth: Super Banking System

”That’s different from the filter,” Kundun stated.

Ling gently said, ”How is it different? If the preparation technology for the filter solution could be rapidly cracked, you conclude that this item isn’t very valuable, what kind of reasoning is that?”

”I...”

Kundun regretted stepping forward.

As expected,

he couldn’t out-argue Ling.

Seeing the situation,

Kan Qin quickly stepped in to smooth things over, ”Deputy Leader Ling, this matter isn’t absolute, we can use certain methods to keep the technology secret, reduce the risk of leakage, and we won’t endlessly concede when it comes to protecting the interests of the Myanmar Economic Zone.”

”Right, we will fully respect the autonomy of the Myanmar Economic Zone and the Company, Deputy Leader Ling, since this concerns you, you can also partake in this negotiation,” Lang Cai spoke up too.

Of course, Ling had to give them face, saying, ”Alright, I trust that through negotiation, we can find a path that satisfies everyone.”

Upon hearing this,

everyone felt they had a chance and breathed a huge sigh of relief.

If Ling were really to fiercely oppose and refuse to budge, it would be very difficult for them to be in the middle, especially fearing that Ling might think they colluded with the other side to seize the filter and fruit wine technology.

That would truly be terrible.

Kan Qin hurriedly made the call.

After a while,

Laughter erupted from Pan Cong on the other side.

”Haha, Kan Qin, you guys are pretty quick, making a decision so soon.” Dsvid remained a silent presence, merely grunting to show he was still alive.

Kan Qin said, ”Pan Cong, Dsvid, there’s no decision yet. As for the fruit wine, forget about it. You may have heard that at the end of last year, we took out a loan of 160 billion RMB from Huaxia.

At that time, we already used fruit wine as collateral to Huaxia, with a valuation of 50 billion RMB. Giving you the technology would be a breach of contract, and even if we emptied Myanmar’s foreign exchange reserves, we couldn’t afford it.”

As soon as these words were out.

The other side exploded in uproar.

”What? You used fruit wine as collateral to Huaxia?” Pan Cong exclaimed in shock.

”50 billion RMB?” Dsvid’s voice trembled a bit too.

”Yes, in order to provide collateral that was sufficient and not too complex, the Myanmar Economic Zone was responsible for half of it. Deputy Leader Ling’s efforts in aiding Myanmar’s economic development are indelible,” Kan Qin explained.

He then took a dig at the two men on the other side, saying that Ling was not only developing the Myanmar Economic Zone well, with many privileges and the position of Deputy Leader, but others had also made contributions to Myanmar’s development.

With 80 billion RMB of collateral, if Myanmar couldn’t pay back the loan, the Special Zone’s properties would be collateralized to Huaxia. That kind of boldness is something you two profit-driven guys should learn from.

Don’t be so unseemly about it.

Rights and responsibilities.

Don’t just think about the former without the willingness to take on the latter.

Pan Cong: ”...”

Dsvid: ”...”

Previously, their minds were mainly focused on how the Myanmar Economic Zone could make money, and they hadn’t realized that Ling had contributed significantly to Myanmar’s current prosperity, perhaps even the lion’s share.

They were just demanding this and that.

Without contributing a thing.

Compared to him, the disparity was indeed significant.

No, that’s not right.

This is not the time to think about that.

”The wine-making technology will not be leaked; that’s a guarantee,” Pan Cong insisted, not giving up.

Before Kan Qin could respond.

Ling spoke up, ”Hello, I am Ling. What I want to say is that this is not about whether or not you leak, but about the national loan agreement between Myanmar and Huaxia. If you are willing to assume the responsibility, there might be room for discussion.”

”Deputy Leader Ling, you’re here too,” Pan Cong said with a shiver, quickly smiling.

Dsvid reacted the same way.

Towards Ling.

They envied, hated, despised, and yet, they were also fearful, especially Pan Cong as a neighbor, this feeling was particularly profound.

”As an involved party, we can’t exclude Ling from our discussions,” Lang Cai explained.

Pan Cong said, ”Fine, Deputy Leader Ling, the fruit wine is mortgaged to Huaxia, but we don’t need to repay the money now. We could simply switch the collateral. Myanmar can provide corresponding collateral to Huaxia; that shouldn’t be difficult.”
