Upon hearing this news, Chai Ren was baffled.

He hung up the phone in a daze.

Somewhat at a loss.

Fuloz was taken away by the Supreme Court at the Capital Airport in Congo Gold?

It seemed almost like Tales of Marvels.

Fuloz was none other than the son of President Moi of Congo-Kinshasa, undeniably his biological offspring. Yet even so, someone dared to arrest Fuloz there, which suggested only two possibilities.

One was that Fuloz had caused such a significant problem that even Moi couldn’t cover for him.

The other was that those who wanted to take him down had backing too powerful, powerful enough to disregard Moi completely.

Either way.

Fuloz was in big trouble this time.

What Chai Ren feared the most now was that those who initiated this were using the mineral transaction as an excuse. If that were the case, he could get dragged into it, not just him, but also Wan Qing Mining owned by Tang Qing, as well as the Africa Union Mining Group could be implicated.

If so, it would be a significant issue.

At this thought.

Chai Ren became a bit anxious.

He was desperate to know the reason for Fuloz’s arrest.

He took out his mobile phone.

Chai Ren called the number of the Chinese businessman he previously learned had sold off his assets. With the current situation initiated by the Supreme Court of Congo Gold, he thought it most reliable to contact this well-connected Chinese businessman directly.

The call connected.

Chai Ren spoke respectfully, ”Uncle Zhou.”

”Ah, Chai, cough cough cough... I knew you would make this call, hehe.” An elderly voice came from the other end, belonging to Zhou Huo, who had struggled here for half his life and, approaching the end of his days, was not in good health.

He coughed frequently.

”Uncle Zhou, I have no choice, you’re the most familiar with everything here,” Chai Ren said with a sigh of relief, seeing that Zhou Huo seemed to know something, or he wouldn’t be so calm.

”Hehe, it’s true, I know what you’re worried about, but rest assured, although I don’t know exactly who’s behind it, I’m aware it has nothing to do with you.

The reason for Fuloz’s arrest is unrelated to you, and it’s also unrelated to the recent mineral deal. It concerns some of his past illegal activities that someone has dug up to create an issue,” comforted Zhou Huo.

Chai Ren was overjoyed, ”Really? Then I can rest easy.”

”The information is accurate, but you still need to be careful. Things are like this now, but that doesn’t mean they won’t change. You should leave Congo Gold as soon as possible. Go to any other country, just don’t stay here for now, just in case,” Zhou Huo advised.

Chai Ren nodded.

Only a fool would stay put at a time like this.

”I understand, thank you, Uncle Zhou. I will book a plane ticket right away and leave immediately,” Chai Ren said.

”Hmm, be careful. I predict there won’t be peace here for a while. I too need to go back home to avoid trouble,” Zhou Huo said gravely, his ”going back home” not meaning returning to his homeland but truly going to the countryside.

It was one of his mining fields, where hundreds of Chinese employees and several hundred mining field workers lived, surrounded by mountains and water, with a very large coffee bean plantation, the place he had prepared for his retirement.ƒrēe

He wasn’t afraid of official trouble.

What worried him were those who might seek to muddy the waters.

”You take care too, Uncle Zhou,” Chai Ren said.

”Alright, we’ll talk more when we have the chance,” Zhou Huo chuckled.

”Okay.”

After hanging up the phone,

Chai Ren immediately had someone prepare plane tickets, planning to gradually have the Company’s Chinese employees leave. It seemed that mining would have to be put on hold for a while. Only after everything was arranged did Chai Ren call Tang Qing.

”Little Tang, I need to tell you something,” Chai Ren said somewhat sheepishly. The deal for the mineral deposits had only just been concluded, and now this had happened. The situation was complex and beyond his grasp. A delay in mining was inevitable.

”What’s the matter?” Tang Qing asked knowingly.

”There’s been a bit of trouble here. Fuloz was arrested at the airport, it’s said to be over past issues. I think there’s a risk to start mining now, and it might have to be delayed. I’ve also had someone purchase plane tickets for your people,” Chai Ren explained.

Tang Qing laughed lightly.
