Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2906: Chapter 2915: What Does Your Pregnancy Have to Do With Me?

When he was looking at Renee Anderson, Renee was also looking at him.

Although Renee had passed the age when she would scream and feel her heart flutter for handsome men, she couldn’t deny that facing this man still made her heart race as a female instinct.

She calmly and gracefully greeted Baron Lawrence, ”President Lawrence.”

At that moment, Assistant Terrence brought in coffee.

”President Lawrence, your coffee.”

”Put it on the table.”

”Okay.”

Assistant Terrence placed the coffee on the office desk and left, not even glancing at her with curiosity throughout the entire process.

Baron Lawrence picked up the exquisitely porcelain coffee cup, took a sip elegantly, then impatiently glanced at Renee and said, ”I’ll give you three minutes, speak quickly; I don’t have much time to waste with you, nor do I have Adam’s patience.”

Renee had initially prepared several opening scenarios, but faced with his simple bluntness, she could only abandon them all, pursed her lips, and directly got to the point, ”President Lawrence, I’m pregnant.”

Baron Lawrence’s brows furrowed sharply, he put down the coffee cup, his eagle eyes fixed on her, cold and arrogant, ”You’re pregnant, what does that have to do with me?”

Faced with his oppressive aura, Renee didn’t panic, calmly standing there and said, ”President Lawrence should be very clear about who the father of the child in my womb is.”

”So?” Baron Lawrence’s brows were fierce, his impatience augmented by a hint of agitation.

Renee’s pregnancy was uncertain to him, but if indeed she was pregnant with Adam’s child, it would be troublesome.

The event that day was a mystery; Adam had said he thought he hadn’t touched this woman, but after all, he was drugged at the time and lost consciousness.

Whether he touched Renee or not, without evidence, no one could clarify.

Baron Lawrence couldn’t be sure that Adam truly hadn’t touched this woman.

Renee lowered her gaze, eyes filled with tenderness, touched her flat belly with her hand, then looked up again, firmly saying, ”President Lawrence and Adam are friends, now Adam doesn’t want to see me, but the child is innocent, I hope President Lawrence can help me tell Adam about my pregnancy.”

Baron Lawrence looked at her blankly for a few seconds, in those brief seconds, Renee felt a choking illusion.

Just when she was suffocating under the pressure, the fierce gaze on her withdrew, and she breathed a sigh of relief as she heard the emotionless voice from the man, ”I’ll take you to the hospital for a checkup.”

”President Lawrence?” Renee suddenly lifted her head, her eyes wide as if she didn’t understand why he wanted to take her to the hospital.

Baron Lawrence stood up from the chair, his posture proud, broad shoulders, narrow waist, long legs, the simple suit style worn on him appeared more dazzling than a male model on a runway.

Sadly, his attitude was too poor, it was so bad that it left Renee with no illusions whatsoever, ”I don’t believe what you say, not a word! Didn’t you say you’re pregnant? I’ll take you to the hospital now, everything will be discussed after the check-up results come out!”

Women who want to marry into a wealthy family are countless; although those miscellaneous women aren’t around him, he’s heard and seen many of their tricks.

Pretending to be pregnant, such a trick has been used by more than one woman.

A woman like Renee, who was originally scheming and liked to lie, suddenly came to him claiming she was pregnant; he doesn’t believe it at all!

Unless the hospital check-up results say so too!
