Murong Fu got defeated by Duan Yu’s Six Meridian Divine Swords, losing his armor and abandoning his gear, yet took advantage of Duan Yu’s mercy, suddenly backstabbed, and then precisely caught by Xiao Feng, hurled and fell face-first, Xiao Feng disparagingly remarked: Xiao Feng, such a great man, shares fame with a guy like you.

Pitiful, lamentable.

But if you consider it differently, if Murong Fu were this book’s protagonist, smoothly accomplishing the dream of restoring the kingdom, without falling to darkness in the struggle, would you still dislike him so much?”

Professor Wang was full of sighs.

The students beneath were instantly stumped.

Even those with hateful facets must have pitiable aspects.

Murong Fu, as the imperial grandson of Great Yan, was educated from an early age to regard reviving Great Yan as his lifelong aim; sacrificing for the country was correct.

Yet how can a nation’s revival be achieved by one’s strength alone?

Thus after half a lifetime of toil, the goal remained a dream beyond reach, having an infatuated cousin was of no use.

He failed Wang Yuyan, yet could be considered loyal to his family and bloodline, spending decades in Jiangnan, resorting to any means, trying his utmost, alas, the greater trend of the world couldn’t be altered by one, unable to fall in love is to say the least a void in both career and love.

For a man—

Especially for an extraordinary talent like Murong Fu skilled in both literature and martial arts, young and handsome in his time, what kind of pain and emptiness is this?

“I am not justifying Murong Fu, merely wishing everyone not to merely regard him as a shallow villain. His fault isn’t solely personal. I even have a speculation possibly everyone can’t accept. I think if the stories in the book truly happen, if those people exist, Wang Yuyan might not necessarily abandon Murong Fu, supposing Duan Yu weren’t one of the protagonists.”

“I disagree!”

One student reacted intensely: “Neither Xiao Feng nor Xu Bamboo received paternal education, yet they walked the path of uprightness!”
