At a small stall. “Let’s get some firecrackers!” “We’re not allowed to set off firecrackers here, but how about this instead? Get some sparklers for the New Year.” “Let’s buy some then. Liu, are you coming over tonight to set them off?” “I’ll pass; the Spring Festival Gala starts at six, and rare enough I have a holiday, so why not just enjoy it at home?” “But the gala has a replay.” “After so many years of watching the Spring Festival Gala, haven’t you felt that watching it live and watching the replay the next day are completely different experiences?” “That’s true.” “This year’s gala is handled by Zhong Continent. It’s bound to be exciting.” “I think all the continents are quite worth looking forward to, like Qin Continent, and also newly joined Wei Continent.” …

Online.

On a forum. “The countdown to the Spring Festival Gala has started, guys, have you decided which one to watch first?” “I’m watching Zhong Continent.” “I’m also from Zhong Continent.” “Eighty percent of people will first watch Zhong Continent, but the opening dance usually isn’t anything fresh; if you ask me, it’s all the same no matter which channel you watch.” “I’m watching Qin Continent; the Qin Continent promotional video was so touching.” “Then I’ll watch Wei Continent, taking this opportunity to learn about the Wei people who just joined the merger.” “Where are the Three Bros fans?!” “Three Bros fan reporting here, the three greatest icons are together again, what reason is there to not watch Qin Continent?” “Everyone’s all talk now, but once it starts, they’ll probably keep switching channels to compare, like picking a damn concubine.”

Some media. “It’s our turn for overtime this year.” “No choice, the Spring Festival Gala always has loads of topics, the media will be busy with a lot, like that Qin Continent promotional video that should feature some of us journalists working over the holidays.” “Who knows how many headlines there will be this year.” “This year’s headlines will definitely far exceed previous years, because of the special circumstances, this is the first time since the merger of Blue Star that all eight continents are present!” “That’s true, so each continent is really fighting hard in the Spring Festival Gala this year.” “Let’s stick to the plan then, I’ll watch Zhong Continent, and you guys watch the other continents.” “Damn, I want to watch Zhong Continent!” “What’s there to fight over, I’m the eldest and what I say goes!” “Then I’ll watch Qin Continent, I think Qin Continent might be quite interesting this year.”

Meanwhile, backstage at the Spring Festival Gala for each continent.

The tense atmosphere had completely spread! “It’s starting soon!” “This year’s Spring Festival Gala is crucial, no room for error!” “Our goal is to secure the third place or fight for second, besides not being able to compete with Zhong Continent, all other continents are our enemies!” “Put out the advertisements, get more people to stream in.” “Each continent has its gimmicks, let’s see whose is more interesting, it’s just a pity our continent’s two big stars couldn’t make it, otherwise, we’d definitely close the show.” “It’s the same with the other continents, seems like all the heavy hitters have been invited away.” “No matter what, the quality of our shows is still guaranteed, aside from Zhong Continent, who else but us!”

Zhong Continent.

The directorial team was all serious. “All departments ready.” “Countdown one hour.” “I need each of you to tightly control your respective areas.” “We are Zhong Continent!” “We are the hosts of this Spring Festival Gala!” “We need to let Qin, Qi, Chu, Yan, Han, Zhao, Wei all know why Zhong Continent is Zhong Continent!”

Lin Yuan was chatting with family and friends on his phone. “Are you there yet?” “Already entered.” “We’re sitting in the first row!” “My seat next to me apparently belongs to a top tycoon from our Qin Continent; I’ve seen him on TV.” “Why does that tycoon’s son keep staring at me?” “Sis, your charm is unbeatable, that young hunk has been peeking at me for a while, too bad he’s not my type.”

Lin Yuan chuckled.

The family had obviously found their seats.

The Yu Dynasty people were also ready, and everyone had a show to perform, and even Lin Yuan had a role to play on stage.
