Wedding Under A Contract

Lucrecia washes her face with soap and water with her hands, scrubs all the makeup and removes the matte lipstick, the memories attack her again and she breaks into tears after removing the soap from her face.

-I don’t like to see you like this, that so-called boyfriend of yours is not worth crying for, don’t be like this, look me in the eyes, I promise to make you happy, my eyes never lie,” says the blond while he caresses her hair.

-I don’t know if I can trust you, it’s because I feel that everything is going wrong and I don’t know how it will be with you, I mean don’t take it badly, but I’m sad and bad at the same time, I don’t know why Julio took this attitude, but I can’t undo anything now, what the two of them did before, I can’t get it back, did I do something wrong, so that he went to another woman? What will I tell all the guests, don’t you know that I will leave without make-up, I guess someone will love me one day without make-up -says the sweet sad girl, in her eyes you can see the pain.

You won’t wear make-up then? -asks the blond.

No, I don’t want this at all, I won’t wear make-up, I already thought about it, why, just to be criticized later, and I don’t know if this will work, I don’t know what I’ll tell everyone, and when they see me with you they’ll make a mess, and I’m stressed -answers the blonde looking at him in the eyes.

-Do you have the contract in hand? -asks the blonde.

-¿Yes, do you want to sign it now? -asks the blonde.

-Yes, I want to sign now,” says the blonde with so much impetus.

-Are you sure? -Asks the blond, since he misses her, they don’t know each other and she is already desperate to sign.

-Totally sure, I don’t want to stay alone and you need your gift, I don’t know what they will give you, I didn’t pay attention, if you get married, or you have many things, and well the contract says 3 years or 4 years, or if you want we can extend it, I don’t give a hard time, I work hard, I can make you food, whatever -says the blonde letting those words escape from her mouth.

The blonde looks at her surprised, and in the blonde’s mind there are only thoughts that she never imagined she would think.

’’What am I doing, why did I tell him that, do I like him, why do I feel anxious, am I in an existential crisis, is this real, is the handsome blond that is in my house real, I know what I will do, I will close my eyes and count to 10 and when I open them he won’t be the millionaire, it’s just a stormy dream, that they cheated on me with my friend, this is not real, this is not happening, it’s not happening’’.

The blond touches her cheeks and the blonde jolts.

The blonde’s cheeks blush, turning red as a tomato.
