Ms. Doctor Divine

Chapter 565: How is Chaoyan?

“Nothing serious.” Gu Chaoyan said calmly, “Just got kicked out of the family.”

Fu Bao, who was standing behind Zhou Huaijin, twitched his face. Lady Chaoyan was very different from the other girls, who would just burst into tears.

Even Zhao Yiqiu, who was showing no concern about anything around, threw a look at Gu Chaoyan.

This must be the future Princess Consort Zhou Huaijin mentioned. She was said to be skillful in medicine, and she did seem quite special.

Zhou Huaijin frowned deeply. He had not expected that so much had happened when he was in the court.

“Because of what?” Zhou Huaijin asked seriously.

“Gu Yunhe was beaten by Xunyang and his face has swelled up. He wanted me to treat him, but I said no. He doesn’t deserve my medicine.” Gu Chaoyan said, “Mrs. Gu did ask me to treat him… honestly, I have a lot of poison too, it was already nice of me not to poison Gu Yunhe!”

Hearing these words, Zhao Yiqi could not help but look at Gu Chaoyan.

Zhao Yiqiu had believed that he was a doctor with principles who always treated patients without fail, but this girl… This girl was a doctor without any principles yet without any conspiracies! She treated good people and poisoned the bad ones. She could do both and she was saying that so frankly as well!

Zhao Yiqiu did start to pay attention to this special girl.

Zhou Huaijin patted Gu Chaoyan’s hands. “If that is the case, then stay in the mansion. You don’t have to return to the Gu Family. Yeah, that is not something serious.”

Then he took Gu Chaoyan and came to Zhao Yiqiu. “This is Mr. Zhao, a doctor too. He has just come out of the court. He can live in a remote yard in the mansion.”

Gu Chaoyan nodded. She said politely, “Greetings, Mr. Zhao.”

Zhao Yiqiu nodded in response.

Zhou Huaijin led them into the mansion.

Gu Chaoyan had just raised her feet when she almost collapsed. Luckily Zhou Huaijin was quick enough to hold her.

He was panicking, “What happened?!”

Zhao Yiqiu came to feel her pulse. He looked at Gu Chaoyan with a look of confusion, then he said, “Get her in!”

Zhou Huaijin carried her.

Zhao Yiqiu was confused. He had not been in the capital for so many years, and he had run into two strange things the moment he came back.

One was the strange poison the King was suffering from. The second was that the pulse he felt was missing!

The former might be because of his bad medical skills, but the latter…. Zhao Yiqiu sighed.

He hurried into the room.

Zhou Huaijin helped Gu Chaoyan to the bed, asking her to lie down.

Gu Chaoyan felt very helpless. “I am doing fine, I’m just a bit tired and tripped. I am a doctor, I know my body well. I am fine.”

Zhou Huaijin did not care. She was indeed a doctor, but doctors did not cure themselves!

She always said that she was fine, but he did not think so!

“Mr. Zhao, how is Chaoyan?” Zhou Huaijin asked Zhao Yiqiu who was standing at the doorstep, but refused to come in.

“She is fine, just needs some rest.” Zhao Yiqiu answered with a look of complication.

Zhou Huaijin did not believe it. He asked Sword One to take good care of Chaoyan.

Then he took Zhao Yiqiu out and said, “Mr. Zhao, please be honest with me, how is Chaoyan?”
