Global Abyss: My Skills Can Enhance Infinitely

Chapter 912: Chapter 780: The Independent World is a Bit Strange (Thanks to Alliance Hierarch Li Mingqing Baudelaire)_4

But my Talent remains unaffected, and having learned the Flying Thunder God Technique, my Innate Demon Body, magnified by three instances of Deification, means I’m not starting off too badly. As long as it’s not a troublesome world, it’s wholly sufficient.

If it really is a troublesome world, then I’ll directly confront the World Will with my own Will.

Even if the World Will of an independent world is extremely strong, that would only mean a faster depletion of Sacred Intent; in times of need, the Gate of Guf could even be directly opened!

“However, if I don’t use Sacred Intent to contend, our passive ‘Immunity’ should suffice to suppress the World Will. If I were to fully mobilize Sacred Intent, it might trigger an ‘Immune Storm’; aside from facing the World Will, there’s no guarantee against powerful ‘Immune Cells’ coming after me. I must be cautious and understand the background first…”

When forcefully using Sacred Intent, timing and duration must be carefully considered to not exceed the limits of ‘Immunity’.

A discreet Outsider like us should not provoke the World Will of this world to drastic action…

Swish~

The fire starter from the wilderness survival gear ignites some dry leaves, which in turn light the wood. Our group has circled this island and confirmed that it’s uninhabited. However, there is a source of water, as well as signs of past human habitation.

“Looking at those rudimentary thatch huts and some broken pottery, it seems to be some kind of tribe, and I’ve also spotted remnants of this kind of lighter nearby, so it should be the modern backdrop Mr. Tao mentioned.”

Jane took out a windproof lighter tangled with mud.

Tao Yu glanced at it and nodded in confirmation.

This lighter bears ‘pearls’ that even the big cities can’t produce; a modern setting is expected.

It’s possible that a small tribe once lived on this island and was moved elsewhere.

“From the highest point, I saw other islands nearby, with the sea surface barely showing traces of boats passing by. It doesn’t seem to be too desolate an area. Perhaps we can try crafting a wooden boat.”

Minato Namikaze shared his observations.

Hearing about sightings of ships and other islands, Tao Yu felt even more certain of the situation.

He then looked up at the sky; an independent world with complete planetary and cosmic details would certainly have satellites.

But even if satellite resolution is high, it’s unlikely they would constantly monitor a desolate island, so it won’t lead to discovery.

Making use of the trees here to build a wooden boat and moving toward populated areas to gather more information seems like a good choice.

However, in modern society, one should be mindful of getting some legal identity, which might take some time.

“I do hope it’s somewhere in the Western world.”

In America, there are people on the fringe; in Europe, there are refugees. Both have many undocumented immigrants, which are easier to deal with relatively.

Even as an undocumented person, it’s possible to obtain a corresponding ID.

Reborn only to become an electronic pet in the big city?

This cold joke surfaced in Tao Yu’s mind, but he quickly tossed it aside.

He then took the lighter Jane found and wiped off the mud on it.

Looking at the lighter’s emblem, Tao Yu also felt a bit stunned.

This…

The Umbrella Company logo?

Is it a coincidence? An official merchandise series, or the real thing…

“If it’s really the Umbrella Company, then the benefits of this world are limited. It’s just a matter of seeing if those viruses could bring something useful to me.”

Tao Yu is currently lacking in Computation Power Skills; maybe the stuff from the Umbrella Company could form similar Skills.

But if it’s just a world from the biohazard series, then the ultimate gain might be small.

It’s merely about enhancing Skills and possibly finding the Heart of the World.

“Alas, seems I might have misjudged this world…”

Woof, woof, woof~

As Towan, the dog from Inuzuka, barked furiously, Airi Suzuki also pointed to the sea and said,

“There’s someone on the sea.”

But by the time the distracted Tao Yu looked over, other than a patch of white waves, there weren’t any signs of people. However, with Tao Yu’s Sight Power and Keen observation, he could discern that besides the waves, there were indeed some additional ripples.

“He’s gone under, only popped his head out briefly before. It should indeed be a person.”
