Transmigrated as the Ex-Wife of a Heroic Man

Chapter 1354: Chapter 1354: I’m Waiting for You to Get Angry

Su Qing was delayed on the road and arrived almost half an hour late for the scheduled meeting, hurrying into the eatery as soon as she got there. As soon as she entered, she saw a lone figure sitting at the most conspicuous spot in the center of the otherwise deserted eatery.

Too conspicuous to ignore.

This eatery was a place she had often come to before, usually doing good business. But now, still not out of the festive season’s atmosphere, many people were busy visiting relatives, so there were hardly any customers.

The only person in the entire shop.

Out of several empty tables, he chose to sit in the most conspicuous middle one, facing the door, his handsome face breaking into a puzzling smile as he saw Su Qing walk in.

Su Qing stopped in her tracks and turned to leave.

“Wait a minute,” Zhou Hengguang finally spoke, waving at Su Qing.

Su Qing, infuriated by his gesture, instinctively wanted to turn around and leave, but for some reason, her legs wouldn’t move, and she distinctly felt that leaving now would have serious consequences.

A very bad feeling.

“How long are you going to keep avoiding me? Stop this, behave,” Zhou Hengguang said with a smile, patiently coaxing her, while the busy shop owners, a husband and wife, blushed and kindly made space, giving Su Qing encouraging smiles.

Su Qing was speechless, what was all this about?

But she really couldn’t run away, otherwise people who didn’t know better might think she was the one at fault!

After understanding this, Su Qing walked over and sat down in front of Zhou Hengguang.

“I had an appointment with Liu Chun, why are you here instead?”

“He got held up, asked me to help. Since I was free, I came,” Zhou Hengguang responded with a smile.

“Stop it already,” Su Qing said, her head lowered, not looking at Zhou Hengguang sitting across her, subconsciously avoiding his gaze, “You’ve brought me a lot of trouble, and you’ve seen my resolve. I’m not going to change my mind.”

“Your resolve?” Zhou Hengguang repeated the words, his deep voice filled with an indescribable bitterness. Su Qing’s heart also trembled, thinking she had misheard, she looked up in surprise, just as Zhou Hengguang suddenly spoke.

“Are you talking about me stopping you from going on blind dates?” Zhou Hengguang didn’t wait for Su Qing to speak, and immediately asked, “Why aren’t you angry?”

“I am very angry,” she was just trying hard to control herself, but not showing anger didn’t mean she wasn’t angry.

She was angry; she wanted to be angry, but what could she do? Go to him? Argue with him? Or argue with those whom she was set up with? Doing that would be pointless and would only make her look ridiculous.

She didn’t want to return to her past self, the naïve Su Qing.

Zhou Hengguang suddenly leaned forward, much closer, scrutinizing her, making Su Qing flustered. She wanted to step back, but her body seemed fixed in place, leaving her passively under his intense gaze.

After a long while, Zhou Hengguang finally spoke, “Hmm! I finally see it now, you are very angry, extremely angry. But your anger is completely different from what I expected. I didn’t know you well, mistaking your reaction. I thought you’d be like others, angrily confronting me. But not only did you not confront me, you stubbornly kept waiting.”

Su Qing pursed her lips, unsure what to say.

“I was waiting for you to settle accounts with me, waiting for you to get angry,” Zhou Hengguang said in a low voice, “Why didn’t you come to me? I deceived you, I even teased you.”
