Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2095: Chapter 2089: Have a Few More

”That’s true, putting oneself in another’s shoes is important. Luckily, I only have one daughter and won’t have any more in the future. Otherwise, I’d be afraid of handling such matters.” Qing Zhu used to think how lively it would be to have several children after getting married.

But when she thought of the noisy days in the orphanage, she got a headache. Still, she never expected to return to the 1980s, and at this time she didn’t think she would really have a child.

Even if she wanted to have more, she couldn’t. The policy was coming into effect, and she wasn’t going to knowingly break the law.

”You two can get married now, and then have a child as soon as possible.” Qin Xue wasn’t sure when exactly the document would come out, but they could still rush it, right?

”Forget it. Our country already has a large population with vast land and few people. Such a development trend will only make us poorer, not wealthier. We should focus on quality births and upbringing, not just having as many children as possible like sows.” Qing Zhu was satisfied with one daughter and didn’t plan to have more. Some things she hasn’t experienced, but being able to raise one child well is her greatest responsibility, so she wouldn’t try to catch the policy’s tail end.

”That makes sense. Raise her well, and then let her attend a good school and make you proud.” Qin Xue thought the same, and once the children of this generation went out, even university graduates were slowly becoming less appealing, as long as they could raise this generation well.

”I went to university myself, so I know what that feels like. I just want my daughter to grow up happily.” Qing Zhu didn’t have high demands, but she wouldn’t let her learn nothing.

”Are you planning to raise your daughter lavishly?” Qin Xue laughed, knowing that the determined Qing Zhu wouldn’t say she didn’t have to learn if that was the case. It’s better for girls to learn more things, so they have more choices once they enter society, unlike boys who can be raised casually and endure hardships later if needed.

This was just Qin Xue’s thought. She planned to raise her child well, whether it was a boy or a girl, because they were all her flesh and blood. How could she not raise them well?

”Absolutely, a girl should be raised well at home, or else after marriage, she belongs to someone else. By then, if I want to care for her more or say anything, the other party might have issues. So I hope your son and my daughter have fate. With a mother-in-law like you, I feel assured.” Qing Zhu wasn’t casually choosing a family for her daughter. She was interested in Qin Xue’s son because Qin Xue was a good person. Even though at that time she hadn’t recovered her memory, she trusted her instincts.

Indeed, her instincts were correct. Qin Xue turned out to be truly good, with such a mother-in-law, she was genuinely unworried. However, all of this had to be by the children’s choice.

Ye Xuan, having heard up to now, finally understood why Qing Zhu was so eager to arrange a child betrothal. She intended it for such a reason; before, he thought she was a heartless mom, but it turns out he misunderstood her.

Chu Molin, too, was always hearing such candid discussions about child betrothals and couldn’t believe his wife was the top choice reason for it.

”Alright then, I’ll just wait. That way, it’ll also save me a bride price. Just hope the kids are secretly fated. Otherwise, all our enthusiasm would be in vain.” Qin Xue was an open-minded mother who just wanted to earn money with her husband to send their children to school and let them do what they loved.
