Reborn as an Ugly Wife in the Countryside

Chapter 902: Chapter 904: Secret Rendezvous Beneath the WallYang Ming thought Shitou’s mother’s suggestion made a lot of sense, so he tried pulling the little goat again, but the little goat still wouldn’t move, continuing to munch on the grass it deemed delicious by the roadside.

Xiaoxiao looked around anxiously, afraid their actions would wake the villagers. Seeing the little goat still unmoving, Xiaoxiao hurriedly said, ”Honey, forget it, let’s go quickly.”

”Should we get a bucket of milk for the kid before we leave?” Yang Ming worried the child would wake up hungry before morning.

Xiaoxiao shook her head, ”Don’t waste time, and drinking cold milk will cause diarrhea; let’s go quickly.”

So, they decided to abandon the little goat. Because Shitou’s mother couldn’t see, they had to support her, slowing their pace considerably.

They tacitly stopped speaking and focused on walking, hoping to leave quickly.

Soon after, they finally saw the village entrance; just past the next ten households, and they could exit, which filled them with joy.

But, at that moment, just as they passed a household, they suddenly heard the sound of a door opening.

Their hearts leapt; someone was coming out.

They immediately halted and then crouched down, fearing discovery. To prevent being noticed by the villagers, they walked along the walls to quickly hide.

Originally they thought the person was just going to the latrine, but the footsteps kept getting closer. Xiaoxiao was nervous, feeling she could hear her own heartbeat. What was that person coming out for?

Then came a creak, my god, the main door opened, was someone coming out? Would they be discovered?

After crouching down, Yang Ming kept holding his wife’s hand. He sensed her fear and squeezed her hand, signaling her not to be afraid.

The person who emerged didn’t notice them, heading instead towards another household.

With that person around, they couldn’t move and had to wait for them to return inside.

The person walked to another courtyard, then climbed onto the wall, and started imitating a cat meowing.

”...” Xiaoxiao was speechless, what was happening?

Moments later, the door of the household ahead opened, and surprisingly, a woman came out. The two met and started hugging and kissing against the wall, paying no attention to the row of people crouched nearby.

They probably didn’t care about anything else, lost in their secret meeting.

Xiaoxiao practically wanted to throw her head back and sigh, my god, these two were meeting in the middle of the night against the wall.

Why do they have to choose the day we are trying to escape to have their rendezvous? Their timing couldn’t be more perfect to end up in this situation.

Under these circumstances, they were completely stuck there, unable to leave, so they might as well watch.

Though it was hard to see clearly, considering it was night, even with strong moonlight separating them by two households.

Despite not seeing well, they could hear the rugged breathing.

Xiaoxiao was truly at a loss, and there was still a kid with them!

Everyone held their breath, waiting endlessly, but the two continued for quite some time. Xiaoxiao wanted to complain about the wait being too long.

Time indeed stretches endlessly when waiting, there’s no doubt about it.
