The gruesome video made some viewers watch from their homes, offices, and headquarters and had puke on the spot after watching such a clear video. It was such a traumatizing video. At the main cityʼs open area, some civilians had gathered in the main hologram showing the press conference of the military. When the general finally climbed on the stage, those who had gathered started shouting, and the media was streaming this scene live.

”The General and the Military failed to protect the citizens of the federation!”

”Step down from the position!”

”You arenʼt worthy of leading the federation!”

”Let the noble clans take over!”

”Step down! Unworthy!”

”You cannot protect the federation!”

”It wasnʼt the tsunami that killed our people; it was you who failed to kill them.”

This scene of protest was reported as flash news to the general having a press conference. On the stage, General Ye was calm and expressionless as he explained the reason why there are still civilians living at the seashore when he and his troops went there to investigate what was happening in the sea. On stage, General Ye stood before all the reporters that came over for this press conference.

General Ye said, ”You may now ask your questions.”

The flashing of cameras all around the stage was bright, and almost all the reporters had all raised their hands after the general had spoken. The one beside him, Colonel Lou Wuye, was the one who was choosing which reporter was entitled to ask the first question. He had casually chosen a reporter among the crowd before the stage.

The chosen reporter had stood up and spoke in the microphone he had with him. ”Lord General, my question is something almost everyone in the open area of this city wanted to ask. Have you truly failed your duties as the protector of the federation and allowed our people who live at the seaside area to die?”

The general responded as he moved his hand, allowing the screen behind him to play some videos of contract signing and how the signers agreed to this agreement without any form of force or plots.

”Are you talking about those who died during the tsunami last night? I have done what I can do and evacuated those who wanted to leave and those who didnʼt want to leave. Those who never wanted to leave were tasked to sign a life and death contract that says that the military will no longer get involved in someone elseʼs life after the contract has been signed.”

”You can watch for yourself the choice our former citizens had made. Just to keep their land and house as well as the land near them as their own, they refuse to evacuate the seashore line. Once they had signed the contract, the military no longer had any responsibilities towards them, and their deaths had nothing to do with the military.”

”Did I fail to protect them? No, they no longer wanted my protection. Not even the protection of the military. When they choose not to leave after I have issued an evacuation order and after they have signed that life and death agreement, they no longer have anything to do with us.”

The response of the general and the proof shown before their eyes are undeniable. To say that the military watched those people die isnʼt correct either. It was because they didnʼt want to leave that they ended up dying. On the other hand, the general had to save those who were willing to leave the area and protect them, even providing them houses in the main city. The general didnʼt fail his job; he had done well and saved as much as he could within the three days before the tsunami fell over.
