Chapter 273: 8.0 Prologue - In the System Space before the Eight World

After getting stabbed by a god-slaying sword in the heart by Angela Evans, the main vessel of that evil voice. Lady Evans was possessed without her knowing. No one knows when she was possessed and for how long she was no longer herself. Hei Anjing lost his mortal vessel and wasnʼt able to stay in that star for too long.

After begging the twins not to destroy the world as it was directly connected to themselves, Eirwen was pulled out of the world. Hei Anjing didnʼt know what happened after he left until his System had told him.

They followed their deceased loverʼs wish and didnʼt destroy that world without Eirwen in it. But in the end, they didnʼt choose to remain in the mortal world as the reason for it is already gone. Lucien and Adrienne who werenʼt able to prevent the death of their beloved, Eirwen Nightʼs passing, had completely changed afterward. They donʼt speak nor react to anything around them and were just left dazed as if time stopped for them the moment Eirwen left them. Though once in a while as if receiving orders the twin sovereign would issue some orders and punishment to those who broke their decree. Aside from those times, these two were completely detached from the world outside the divine temple.

In the end, the twin chooses a successor for the position of Sovereign. They wanted to leave that place as soon as possible so they could see their lover who was waiting for them outside of this world. 

Before the twin sovereigns decided to abdicate from their position as ruler gods.

The former God of Wind Avel was punished and was stripped of his divinity with his memories as God still intact. He is forbidden to rise as a god again unless he collected enough good karma to redeem himself.

The former God of Water, Mayim, was resurrected by System Yue giving him an immortal body in exchange for the merits his parents had collected when they were still alive. Of course, this was done under his hostʼs inputted command in his database. After a millennium, Mayim is allowed to enter the God System once he finishes his time as the new sovereign of Aerd. 

But everyone knew that he only accepted this long duration as sovereign because he is waiting for someoneʼs return.

Back to the system space.

Within that vast space of galaxies and stars, Hei Anjing had once again returned. His figure immediately slacked as he covered his mouth when a bad cough was heard from him.

COUGH!!!

Clearly, being stabbed by a god-slaying sword from the high tier world was able to harm him, and the fact that the one who wields that dangerous sword is none other than his other half, the effect on him is obviously not simple.

Followed by the loud cough, a mouthful of blood came out staining his thin lips and hands with crimson color.

[Lord Hei!!? Lord Hei, blood! You just cough blood!? Is it because of the god slaying sword? But itʼs impossible! Even that type of sword couldnʼt harm the lord at all.]

Hei Anjing stares at the blood on his hands turning to blood mist and faded in thin air. This is one of his specialties aside from the Ice element. He is capable of controlling the rare element of blood. Zhi Yue had to materialize to support his host.

”Blood element. He had lent me something useful,” murmured Hei Anjing. These words werenʼt heard properly by his system. 

Zhi Yue asked politely, ”Lord Hei, are you really okay? Should Yue inform the Lord An?”

”Donʼt bother that fool. Iʼm a doctor myself, I know my state. This lord is fine but I will need to take a rest. I will occupy the training dimension for a bit. If someone visits, tell them Iʼm busy. Once Iʼve come out of seclusion I will continue my world-hopping.” said Hei Anjing as he walked towards the training hall and entered a long state of meditation.

He needs to spend time to heal his injuries and reclaim his cultivation at the same time. Inside the training dimension, a hundred years from that place equates to an hour in this system space. The time in the training hall is 100 times faster than in reality.

The moment his host had left the system space, Zhi Yueʼs boss, An Liang appeared from behind him.

Thereʼs an ugly expression on his bossʼs face, it wasnʼt of anger or irritation but worry. Moreover, his target happened to be his host, Hei Anjing. Just one look is enough for An Liang to know that Hei Anjingʼs current situation isnʼt good. Thinking of the only thing that could harm this immortal man means one thing.
