Beast Taming: the More the Better

Dark flames seeped from every feather on Toothy’s body. With experience in wild battles, after years of existing as a wild Pet Beast, Toothy indeed understood the principle of a lion going all out even when hunting a rabbit. Besides, in this fight, it wasn’t the lion, and those two birds certainly weren’t rabbits!

The Flowing Flame Garment enveloped Toothy’s body. Its form turned pitch-black once more as flames danced across it. Yet, these pitch-black flames emitted no warmth at all. In fact, they seemed to dissipate a significant amount of the intense heat radiating from the Blue-Feathered Flame Sparrows.

What an eerie flame! Su Ping’s eyes narrowed slightly. He looked towards Little Flame and the other fire spirit perched on the tree branch. At this stage, a fight between them is clearly meaningless. Lacking strong combat ability, the outcome will still depend on the battle results of these so-called ’mounts’ or ’messengers’—the avian Pet Beasts.

The instant the Flowing Flame Garment covered its body, the attacks of the two Blue-Feathered Flame Sparrows arrived. Blazing blue Fireball Techniques, like will-o’-the-wisps in the night—yet contrary to the coldness of ghostly fires—released unimaginable heat as they flew towards Toothy.

However, when these fiercely hot flames touched Toothy’s body, they seemed to be enveloped and gradually extinguished.

Toothy, for its part, was even more direct. It flapped its wings, and a pitch-black flame erupted. With its Flame Projectile technique, it then launched this dark fire.
