”What could possibly be more important than my affairs?”

The man looked at his sister, who hadn’t changed over the many years, and the impatience and irritation on his face surprisingly vanished. He said, ”Father’s orders. I’ve come to temporarily take over two subsidiaries under Tianyun Group: Tianyun Real Estate and Mirror Sky Entertainment.”

”What?” Dong Muyun raised her eyebrows in disbelief, looking at Dong Mutian. She asked, ”Are these Father’s orders?”

”You can call and ask!”

Dong Muyun’s brows furrowed. Right in front of Dong Mutian, she made the call.

”Dad?”

”Has your brother arrived?”

The voice on the phone, along with its words, clearly confirmed Dong Mutian’s claims.

Yet Dong Muyun found it even harder to understand. She asked, ”Dad, what does this mean? Haven’t I been managing Tianyun all this time?”

There was a moment of silence on the other end of the line. After about a dozen breaths, a muffled voice continued, ”Muyun, the family is preparing to focus all its efforts on developing Tianyun Group. Other areas will make way for now. Tianyun Group is so vast, and it’s just the right time for Mutian to help you share some of the burden. Besides, real estate and entertainment aren’t our main industries...”

Dong Muyun’s fox-like eyes narrowed. She nodded decisively and said, ”Fine, I get it...”

She didn’t wait for a response, hanging up abruptly to vent her dissatisfaction.

Then, under Dong Mutian’s amused gaze, she settled back into her seat, resuming her pose with one leg casually crossed over the other.

”Asked him already?” Dong Mutian said. ”Over the past few years, the group’s financial reports haven’t just failed to improve; they’ve shown losses. The real estate side has lost over a hundred million on the Crescent Lake construction and that Yuntian Resort. Father has long been dissatisfied...”

Looking at her smug, good-for-nothing brother, Dong Muyun scoffed disdainfully. She retorted, ”Problems with the Legion? Kicked out, were you?”

At this, Dong Mutian’s face darkened.

Dong Muyun huffed and said, ”Do you know why you’ll never be the true heir in Father’s and the family’s hearts? Dong Mutian, even without Dong Muxuan, and with me here, the ambitions you and your dead mother harbor—to truly head the Dong Family and take over—will never happen in this lifetime! It’s because you’re such a worthless good-for-nothing.”
