Best Young Master

“Yu Xin, you can’t go back to the company!”

At noon, Su Liuli, who usually enjoyed sleeping in, got out of bed and immediately rushed into the study to persuade Su Yuxin upon learning that she intended to return to work.

Su Yuxin was reviewing tender documents when Su Liuli burst in, a mixture of urgency and concern, causing her to put the documents aside with a wry smile.

“Your health has only just started to improve.

What if going back to work at the company exhausts you?

What if your illness relapses?” Seeing that Su Yuxin remained silent, Su Liuli continued to speak, her words tumbling out in a rapid-fire burst, like machine-gun fire.

Feeling Su Liuli’s concern, Su Yuxin felt a surge of warmth in her heart and said half seriously, half jestingly, “It’s fine.

Doctor Ye has said he will follow me everywhere to treat me, ensuring that there will be no relapse.”

“What…

what?”

On hearing this, Su Liuli’s eyes widened in shock, and then, like a cat whose tail had been stepped on, she jumped up.

“Yu Xin, you definitely can’t go back to work at the company then!”

“Why not?”

“Sima Zhao’s heart—everyone knows.”

Speaking earnestly, Su Liuli said, “That wolf has always had bad intentions towards you.

If he follows you around to treat you, it’s like he gets to be with you every day.

It’s only a matter of time before he completely ensnares you.”

“Nonsense, how could Doctor Ye be that kind of person!”

Su Yuxin glared at Su Liuli, not amused, yet she couldn’t stop her mind from recalling the bliss she had uncontrollably tasted the night before, as well as the fact that she hadn’t worn a bra that morning—her face instantly flushed red.

“Yu…

Yu Xin, you haven’t already fallen into that guy’s amorous trap, have you?” Seeing Su Yuxin’s blush and the elusive sparkle in her eyes, like a shy, demure woman, Su Liuli asked with nervous tension.

“Liuli, you can say whatever you want about me, but don’t slander Doctor Ye.

Doctor Ye is a good person.” Seemingly afraid that Su Liuli would glimpse the secret in her heart, Su Yuxin quickly adjusted her expression and spoke in a serious tone.

“Just tell me yes or no,” Su Liuli insisted stubbornly, as if she would confront Ye Fan if Su Yuxin dared to admit anything.

“What on earth are you thinking about all day long?”

Su Yuxin stood up and tapped Su Liuli’s head in mild irritation, “If there’s nothing else, don’t disturb me, I’m busy looking at the tender documents.”

“Mmm…”

Convinced by Su Yuxin’s firm focus on her work and seeming lack of entanglement in Ye Fan’s trap, Su Liuli couldn’t help but remind her, “Yu Xin, I still think you should seriously consider my suggestion.”

This time, Su Yuxin chose not to respond and picked up the tender documents once again.

“Fine, I know that even if I held a knife to your neck, you would still go back to the company.”

Understanding Su Yuxin’s stubborn nature and knowing that she wouldn’t change her decision, Su Liuli, who would rather face the wall than turn back, could only give up on persuading her.

However, she cautioned, “But even if you’re determined to go back, and let that guy follow you around, you should still be wary of him and not be deceived by appearances.”

“I get it.”

Su Yuxin couldn’t help but laugh and cry at her own situation.

She knew that if she didn’t agree with Su Liuli, with her sister’s personality, she would nag like Tang Seng by her side all day long.

“Then I can go to Southern Tibet at ease.”

Seeing that Su Yuxin had agreed, Su Liuli felt relieved and decided to carry out her ‘Southern Tibet road trip’ plan that she had conceived two days ago—during their previous journey to Spirit Mountain to seek medical advice, she had discovered the beauty of the Sichuan-Tibet Line, but her concern for Su Yuxin’s health had prevented her from enjoying the scenery; she now wanted to remedy that regret.

“The Sichuan-Tibet Line is fraught with danger; be very careful on your own.”

While Su Yuxin advised caution, she understood that Su Hongyuan would have the Su Family’s Bodyguards protect Su Liuli’s safety along the way, so she wasn’t too worried.

After being disrupted by Su Liuli, Su Yuxin somehow lost the will to continue reviewing the documents and suddenly remembered that Ye Fan would follow her to the company but didn’t have formal attire.

With that thought, Su Yuxin set aside the tender documents and went to Ye Fan’s bedroom.

In the bedroom, Ye Fan was engrossed in a game of “League of Legends” on Su Jindi’s laptop.
