Picking Up a Gorgeous CEO for a Wife

249: Chapter 0249: Five Distinguished Guests 249: Chapter 0249: Five Distinguished Guests Before Chi Yanyan took over the exhibition hall of Huaxi Jewelry Company, she was the manager of the exhibition hall at Zhonghe Jewelry Company and was Wang Lina’s immediate boss.

Back then, Wang Lina had been quite the flatterer, always calling her “Sister Yanyan,” but once she managed to climb up the ladder, she seemed to transform into a completely different person overnight.

Seeing the poor business at the exhibition hall Chi Yanyan had taken over, Wang Lina came over everyday to flaunt her superiority.

It was as if by doing this, she could forget those days when she had groveled before Chi Yanyan.

“Manager Chi, I remember advising you not to resign hastily, warning you that it might lead to a total loss!

Your boyfriend is not reliable, you know.

It’s been three months, and he has only brought you a few customers, purchasing raw materials worth no more than fifty thousand yuan.

If it weren’t for our exhibition hall occasionally purchasing some of your materials, I’m afraid you would have gone under long ago.”

Although Chi Yanyan knew Wang Lina was just flaunting her superiority, she dared not lose her temper!

Zhonghe’s business was booming, and they often secretly bought some raw materials from Huaxi’s side.

Although the profit was small, it was enough to keep Huaxi from going out of business.

“Thank you, Lina, for cherishing our old times.

If it weren’t for you looking after my business, I might have gone bankrupt already.”

Chi Yanyan had made up her mind; as soon as she cleared out this batch of inventory, she would quit—the waters in this industry were too deep.

“Sister Yanyan, actually, I came here to buy raw materials, and you can see how booming my business is.

I’ll take ten tons from you, give me a better discount.”

Seeing Chi Yanyan acting so humble, Wang Lina felt extremely pleased!

Now isn’t the time for you to boss me around, right?

Go on, keep bragging!

“Sure, Lina, since you’re taking care of my business like this, I’ll certainly give you a discount.

Just tell me, what price do you think is fair?” Chi Yanyan nodded firmly, having decided to quit.

Wang Lina stretched out two fingers and made a two sign with her hand.

Chi Yanyan smiled slightly, “Two hundred per ton?

That’s easy to say, I’ll transfer the two thousand yuan to you via WeChat right away.”

“Two hundred per ton?

Manager Chi, are you treating me like a beggar?

I meant two hundred per jin,” Wang Lina, thinking she had Chi Yanyan cornered, boldly asked for a huge amount.

“Two hundred per jin?

Wang Lina, that’s daylight robbery!

At that price, I can’t even recover my costs!” Chi Yanyan’s voice rose by eight decibels!

“Cost price?

If I’m not mistaken, Manager Chi’s exhibition hall rental contract is expiring next week.

If you don’t manage to sell off all your inventory at this gem fair, you’ll have to spend a fortune to move the stones from stock and even rent a warehouse yourself.

Of course, the organizers will purchase your stones at half price.

But then, you’ll lose even more!

I’m not exploiting the situation; I’m just helping you out because of our past as colleagues!”

Chi Yanyan’s face turned very unsightly, how did Wang Lina know that her exhibition hall rental contract was about to expire?

Renew the contract?

She’s not a fool; her exhibition hall had already been blacklisted by customers.

Renewing the contract would surely lead to a guaranteed loss.

Just as Chi Yanyan hesitated, Qin Yu and others walked into the exhibition hall.

Upon seeing Zhou Tianlei, Wang Lina acted like a Tibetan mastiff who had spotted meat, instantly getting excited.

“Isn’t this Director Zhou?

Oh wow, you brought five valuable guests for Manager Chi this time?

I wonder how much stone material they’ll buy this time?

Thirty thousand or twenty thousand?

Hee hee…”

Zhou Tianlei almost choked on Wang Lina’s words; he really wanted to pull out a wad of cash and slap it on Wang Lina’s face.
