Picking Up a Gorgeous CEO for a Wife

196: Chapter 0196: I’ll Help You 196: Chapter 0196: I’ll Help You “Yeah,” Qin Yu nodded.

Ziyan felt ridiculously embarrassed and wished she could find a hole to crawl into!

How did her intelligence seem to diminish so much when she was with Qin Yu?

“Give it here, I’ll help you.”

Qin Yu smiled, tore off several pieces of tissue paper and handed them to Ziyan, who, imitating Qin Yu’s actions, balled them up into several little wads of paper.

Once the scene was all set up, Qin Yu nodded satisfactorily, “That should do it, wife, let’s go to sleep.”

Having said that, Qin Yu directly collapsed onto his makeshift bed on the floor, and this time, without any hesitation, he fell asleep in less than three seconds.

Ziyan still watched Qin Yu with a wary eye, but she was so sleepy that she dozed off after less than ten minutes.

Initially resting against the bed’s headboard, Ziyan’s head bent to one side as she slept, creating a small noise due to the friction with the headboard.

This faint noise woke Qin Yu.

Qin Yu turned his head towards the bed and, seeing Ziyan’s contorted sleeping position, shook his head continuously, thinking that she would surely wake up with a stiff neck if she slept like that all night.

Qin Yu tiptoed up, gently straightened Ziyan’s body, covered her properly with the blanket, and then lay back down on his own spot on the floor.

Exhausted, Ziyan slept soundly until the morning light filled the room.

It was only when her phone alarm went off that Ziyan groggily opened her eyes!

Being used to waking up like this, Ziyan, without opening her eyes, headed towards the floor instinctively, feeling the urgent need to use the bathroom.

Just as she got out of bed, Ziyan saw Qin Yu on the floor and shouted, “Qin Yu, stop sleeping, get up.”

“Wife, I’m really tired, let me sleep a bit more.”

“Continue sleeping, my foot!

Hurry up and tidy up, what if my dad wakes up?”

No sooner had she finished speaking than the voice of Su Xinghe came from outside the door, “Xiao Yu, I ran out of cigarettes, open the door and give me one to smoke!”

“I &#$&…

Father-in-law, please wait a moment.”

Qin Yu sprang up like a carp flipping in the air, rapidly gathered up his bedding with the speed of a whirlwind, tossed it into the wardrobe, and then hurried to open the door for Su Xinghe.

No sooner had Qin Yu opened the door than Su Xinghe rushed in impatiently.

After seeing the tissue paper scattered all over the floor, Su Xinghe’s last bit of suspicion completely vanished.

“Father-in-law, I smoke the six-yuan-a-pack Ba Xi brand.

I’m not sure if you’ll be accustomed to them?” Qin Yu reached for his trousers still on the nightstand, pulled out a pack of Ba Xi, and offered it.

“Ba Xi?

That’s nothing, I’ve smoked Da Qian Men and Ha De Men back in my youth, let’s have it,” Su Xinghe said, spreading his hand out impatiently.

Qin Yu hastily pulled a cigarette from the pack and handed it to Su Xinghe, who took the lighter that came with it from Qin Yu, lit the cigarette, and took a deep drag.

The sudden scent of smoke made Ziyan wrinkle her brows in discomfort, but she didn’t say anything, fearing she might upset Su Xinghe.

All Ziyan hoped was that her dad would leave soon; if Su Xinghe stayed a few more days, she felt she might go mad.

“Aren’t you having one?

You must be bursting to smoke after the whole night,” Su Xinghe passed the lighter back to Qin Yu.

Qin Yu had a good grasp of details and instantly noticed that Ziyan disliked the smell of smoke.

With utmost seriousness, Qin Yu said, “Father-in-law, aren’t you asking us to have a little baby?

Ziyan can’t be around smoke if we’re trying for a baby, as it might affect the baby’s health.”
