The autumn rain was cold, accompanied by doubts, denunciations, and curses... Amidst all these voices, Tang Wan’s solo exhibition proceeded as scheduled.

This exhibition seemed to be a dilemma.

Animal rights activists resisted, and it was rumored that Third Master of the Fu Family would bring his young wife to fight against it.

It was completely detrimental without any benefits, and no one understood why Tang Wan was so determined to hold it.

Normal people know to seek benefits and avoid harm; Tang Wan should be even more aware of weighing the pros and cons.

”If it doesn’t happen as scheduled, it would only mean all the doubts are true, and she’s backing down.”

”Yes, that would be tacit admission. She’s scared, and it’s not just her; the Jiang Family’s face can’t be saved. They can only grit their teeth and proceed, taking it one step at a time.”

”I’m really curious about what will happen at the exhibition.”

...

The exhibition hadn’t started yet, but after the promotional posters were spread out, the Exhibition Center had become a popular spot for taking photos. Many people had already come to take pictures and leave their marks.

The news of Yu Zhen’s participation also sparked a heated discussion among the animal rights activists.

Among so many activists, she was relatively well-known. If she went to support Tang Wan, could it prove that Tang Wan had nothing to do with the kingfisher incident?

”Yu Zhen went to help her. After so many days, the police haven’t taken any action. Maybe the kingfisher incident really has nothing to do with Tang Wan.”

”Did she get paid? It seems like she’s eating any food, disregarding her own reputation.”

”Let’s wait for the police investigation results.”

The internet was filled with all kinds of voices, but Yu Zhen was still thinking about what clothes to wear that day.

On the day of the solo exhibition

The sky was clear and sunny, a rare bright autumn day. Entry to the exhibition began at nine, and it officially started at ten.

Even when the sun was just rising, many people had come to line up and secure a spot. Entry didn’t require an invitation, and anyone could enter, but space was limited. Once the specified number was reached, no more would be allowed in.

Some media reporters even stayed at the entrance from the night before.

Even though it was autumn, mosquitos were still rampant, and being in the suburbs, these people hadn’t escaped being bitten by bugs.

Except for the security staff who patrolled 24 hours, other staff and employees of Tang Wan’s studio arrived at the venue around six to start preparations for the exhibition.

Soon, journalists photographed Tang Wan arriving, followed closely by Yu Zhen’s car. They couldn’t get too close but managed to take a few pictures from a distance.

Outside, more and more people began to flock in from various directions.

Some came specifically to see the Cyan Feather, some were animal rights activists, but the majority were just bystanders.

The security guard on duty, seeing the situation, glanced at his watch:

”It’s only a little after seven. These people are fighting to be the first to eat the melon. The Exhibition Center is in the suburbs. They must have come out when it was still dark.”

”The reporters are even more desperate. They didn’t leave at all last night.”

”We better keep our wits about today. If anything happens, we’ll all be in trouble.”

...

Tang Wan had already finished discussing the final procedures with the person in charge at the Exhibition Center.

”And on Miss Yu’s side...” Yu Zhen was the host and master of ceremonies for this exhibition, and the person in charge wanted to communicate with her.

”She should be in makeup preparing. I’ll go talk to her,” Tang Wan smiled.

”That works.” The person in charge looked at Yu Zhen coming over, her entourage seemed significant, and he didn’t want to deal directly with her.

Tang Wan knocked on the dressing room door. Yu Zhen was familiarizing herself with the script, while the makeup artist was beside her, applying makeup.

”Ms. Tang, you’re here. Please sit down.” Yu Zhen couldn’t move around freely and asked her assistant to attend to her.

”Don’t bother with me. I’m just here to see if you need anything,” Tang Wan smiled.

”Everything’s fine.”

Tang Wan’s gaze fell on a long dress hanging to the side. If she remembered correctly, it might be a custom piece from a brand several years ago. Si Qingxiao, who was quite versed in fashion, found the dress impressive and had shown it to her.
