Exhibition?

Jiang Zhaolin’s breathing was rapid, it seemed everyone was doing better than him.

Exhibition Center

Tang Wan was currently at the exhibition center conducting some last-minute confirmations.

”...The venue is all set up, tomorrow you’ll transport all the exhibits from your studio, there will be 24-hour security patrol and infrared devices, your works will absolutely face no loss or theft.” The exhibition center’s manager said with a smile.

”Thank you for your hard work.” Tang Wan looked around and felt very satisfied, ”By the way, the rest area for the event day...”

Just then, her phone vibrated, and she took it out for a glance.

”Please take the call first.” The manager smiled.

”Sorry about this.” It was an unfamiliar number. Lately, with the exhibition preparations, there were a lot of calls, so even if she didn’t recognize the number, Tang Wan still answered, ”Hello, this is Tang Wan.”

”Hello, Professor Tang, I’m Yu Zhen’s assistant, we met a few days ago.”

”Oh, hello! What’s the matter?” Tang Wan felt a bit of a headache; after their meeting, there wasn’t a follow-up discussion, they should have understood her position, yet they were still calling to follow up.

”It’s like this, we discussed the exhibition before, right? If you have any dissatisfaction with the additional terms we provided, you can let us know.”

”No, it’s just that there are other arrangements, maybe we can collaborate another time.”

...

The assistant hung up the phone, and seeing her expression, Yu Zhen guessed what happened, ”What should we do now? I already announced it externally, everybody thinks I’ll be attending.”

”How about I find out her schedule, and we meet her tomorrow.”

Tang Wan had planned to have people transport the exhibits to the exhibition center the next day. These were all her efforts, so she naturally had to oversee it personally, not expecting to encounter Yu Zhen there.

”Professor Tang, is it convenient to chat for a bit?”

Tang Wan really wasn’t in the mood to deal with her, ”Miss Yu, if it’s about collaboration, you can speak with our studio manager, I’m really quite busy on my end, truly sorry.”

”Professor Tang, Tang...” Yu Zhen wanted to say more, but Tang Wan had already turned and left.

She waited at the exhibition center until it was dark, without seeing anyone, feeling quite angry, ”What is this! Initially, you guys asked me to help you proactively, and now this is what happens.”

”Stop talking, be careful someone hears.” The assistant frowned.

”I’ve postponed all recent events, just waiting for hers, and then this...”

”No matter what, we haven’t signed a contract.” The assistant, fearing their complaints might be overheard, hurriedly led Yu Zhen away from the trouble spot.

Just as Yu Zhen got in the car to leave, she received an unfamiliar call.

Tang Wan was still at the exhibition center, as the placement and angles of the exhibits were something she was quite knowledgeable about, and since this was her first solo exhibition, she was especially attentive.

”When will you be done?” Jiang Jinsang called, ”I’m almost at the exhibition center.”

”About fifteen minutes more.”

”Then I’ll wait for you outside.”

Jiang Jinsang sat in the car waiting, the summer heat had passed since autumn arrived, the night wind carried a bit of chill, feeling refreshing on the body, only to be disrupted by the wailing of police sirens.

A police car drove past Jiang Jinsang’s vehicle, a few officers got off carrying enforcement recorders, and entered the exhibition center directly.

He straightened up and opened the door to check inside...

About an hour later, a piece of news hit the trending topics:

[Police received a tip-off, and seized 22 Kingfisher feathers at the exhibition center.]

The already controversial Cyan Feather exhibition was instantly thrust back into the center of a heated storm.

Even more gossip emerged from an insider:

Tang Wan was arrested by police!
